Set right on the beach, Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa offers beach front rooms, a year-round children's pool, relaxation pool and outdoor lap pool. Room, location, view from room and property, food, staff and service everything was better than I expected.

Situated in Bentota, 1.4 km from Bentota Beach, Tree of Life Resort features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. This place is a gem. The rooms are fabulous. Very luxurious feel in the rooms and common areas. Food was delicious with lots of choice. The staff are wonderful, attentive without ever being intrusive. The cleaning is impeccable. We stayed here for our last two days in Sri Lanka and it was a great place to relax and unwind.

Located in Ahungalla, 300 metres from Kosgoda Beach, Ahu Bay provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Our stay during the christmas days at Ahu Bay was excellent. Amazing views, spacious Rooms all with sea view, delicious food, very friendly and attentive staff. They really make every wish come true. I would rate the overall experience 10/10 and would really recommend it. Espacially to couples for a nice and romantic getaway in wonderful Sri Lanka!

The moment I stepped into Malabar Hill Hotel, I felt an overwhelming sense of serenity. Nestled amidst nature, it’s the perfect place for those seeking a calming retreat from the hustle and bustle. The spacious rooms exude warmth, and each is spotlessly clean, offering cozy comforts that make you feel right at home. But what took my breath away was the balcony view. Imagine waking up to the chirping of birds, an expansive forest that stretches as far as the eye can see, with the azure sky above and a tantalizing glimpse of the ocean in the distance. And the pool? Simply a dreamy oasis. At their restaurant, each dish is a culinary masterpiece, with flavors so authentic, you can taste the richness of every spice. A little tip: if you prefer milder flavors, do request them to tone down the spices. My stay was made even more memorable by the trips we took. The Galla Fort exudes historical charm, the tea trip was an enlightening journey into the world of tea-making, and the Kollaghan Lake was a visual feast with its picturesque islands, lively birds, playful monkeys, and yes, we even spotted a crocodile! Haritha Villas + Spa is perched on a hill and nestled under a canopy of trees, less than 1 km from Narigama beach and 1.2 km from Hikkaduwa beach. If “heaven on earth” would be a place, it would be called Haritha Villas. Having stayed in some of the worlds best Hotels and Resorts around the globe, this might have been one of the best. This Hotel is the perfect place if you want to escape from all the daily routine and stress. A small oasis of well-being with breathtaking views of the Sri Lankan Jungle. The Private Pool Villas are extremely beautiful and very private. There is absolutely no way for anyone to have a sneak peek into your accommodation. The Service including our private Villa Host: Tharanga, was the best we have experienced so far. From planning the most spectacular excursions to giving tips and tricks around the Island, there was no wish left to fulfill. All matters are given an open ear and are immediately implemented. Moreover you do not feel like a customer at Haritha but rather like family. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all served a-la cart and are of highest quality and standards. If you are looking for fine michelin style food, or simple feel good “soulfood” you will definitely be very happy with all the options they provide you with. No request is left unfulfilled! The General Manager Umby is one of the kindest people we have met, making you feel straight at home and understanding your every need. If you feel the need to go to the beach, the Hotel features a complimentary 1min tuktuk ride to a luxurious partner Hotel that they have arrangements with, so that you can enjoy a fabulous beach if you wish. The only negative part of our stay, was that we did not book the property for a longer period of time and having to leave! Set in Weligama, 100 metres from Dammala Beach, Naomi Beach Resort - Adults only offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. This incredible property is one of the few to be situated right on the beach, with all the rooms overlooking the sea. Everything about this small hotel is wonderful! The swimming pool, also overlooking the ocean, has ample space to relax; and their restaurant has to be the best in the area. Everything we ate was delicious! We stayed for 4 nights and could happily have stayed longer. There is a natural tidal pool within easy walk and I had at least one turtle join me every time I swam there. My husband surfed right outside! No need for jumping into a tuk tuk to search for waves. Jamu surf hostel is just 2 roads away where daily drop in yoga classes are offered. Oh and best of all…the staff! So very friendly and helpful! All in all, a phenomenal stay!

Located within 300 metres of Unawatuna Beach and 1.7 km of Rumassala South Beach in Unawatuna, Hiru Resort Inn Unawatuna features accommodation with seating area. The place was very clean and well maintained. It was located around 10min walk from the beach, in a jungle. The only problem was very bad reception and super slow WiFi, but if you sat closer to the router it worked well. The typical breakfast of eggs, toast and fruits was included. The hosts were amazing, they upgraded our room without additional payment. What is more, they helped me when I needed charger after mine broke.

Situated in Hikkaduwa, 300 metres from Hikkaduwa Bus Stand and 500 metres from Hikkaduwa Beach, Arcadia Resort features a year-round outdoor pool and barbecue. This property is a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Few people were here; it feels like a home. Jay, the one who looks after the place, is very helpful, and he always oversees the place. He told us we can cook in the upstairs kitchen. The three-room apartment feels like home too. Since one room was booked, we got one from there and two rooms next to the pool. The calm and relaxing atmosphere, paired with the breathtaking landscaping, make it a truly special place.
