To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Loved the food. Breakfast was amazing. Fantastic staff in all areas and incredibly friendly an attentive. Location quiet now (but I know it's being developed). Wonderful views over the Dubai Creek.

KuwaitThe valet service is the worst, literally the interrogated me twice & I had to fight with them to park my car by myself, I don't like others to drive my car & I think the hotel managment should reconsider & allow visitors to drive their cars to the parking by using the rooms access card without the need of the valet service. They are bad with an attitude!
Everything, the rooms, the view, the staff "Front Desk, Housekerping & Room Service" they were all amazing specially Mr. Kamal from Fron desk staff, he was very respectful, kind & helpful & made our stay even better .

United Arab EmiratesThere were just a couple of hiccups during our two-day stay at the hotel: our TV remote wasn't working properly and one of the bathroom sinks was clogged up. But both were prompty fixed by the staff.
Everything was immaculate. The hotel was beautifully designed, the staff were quick to respond to our needs and the breakfast was super impressive. I would like to make a special mention of Chef Gilbert and his legendary french toast - seriously, you can't leave the hotel without trying it!
