There were 2 things. Parking is not on property but a short walk which was fine but being new to Dubai was a bit confusing about what to do. The other was the pillow. It was very rectangle and not comfortable at all. Other than that was great.

What I consider a shortcoming: the hotel has its own restaurant, why doesn't it serve breakfast? Breakfast does not have to be buffet style, but at least a continental breakfast (bread, butter, jam, fried food, coffee) would be good. I really liked the atrium in the hotel. We often sat there in the evening, but something bit us badly, I suppose mosquitoes. It's not the hotel's fault, but it would have been great if there were insect nets on the windows as we could have left the wooden shutters open. The rooms would have better air and more light. What I missed were night lamps. When I turned off the light in the evening and wanted to get to bed, the room was completely dark, and by the time I got to bed, I kept bumping into something and bruising myself.

Every time I go to Dubai, I spend half of my stay in this type of accommodation in the old part of Dubai. I like the environment, the proximity to the metro and the family atmosphere of the hotel. I consider the biggest bonus to be the hotel staff, who fulfilled everything I asked them to do, the man from Bangladesh even took our suitcases to the taxi rank - many thanks.

Repair work involving irratic loud banging metal until 2am. Odd acrid smell entering bedroom but quickly got used to it. No insect screens or shutters on windows, just wood shutters so I couldnt open to let natural light in nor fresh air particulary because of the smoky/musty smell and because the air con didnt work). Unable to store luggage between successive even though I gave both sets of dates that I wanted, yet I was sent email from property at the time of booking that said they would store my bag. The staff on site tried to help me as much as they could.

Great location at water front, sights, little park, resturants and metro stop is super really convenient. Rooms had grreat Arabic character and the doors ti rooms surrounded a lovely courtyard with tables, chairs, potted trees and deorations. Caring, friendly and honest staff, comfy bed and good linen, excellent bathroom with gorgeous ontap hot water. I would like to bring a group of friends to stay here.

Unfortunately the roof area was closed to the public. The door lock was not optimal. The safety box was not working.

- mattresses were very hard for me - taxi cannot reach the property easily, there was a hassle - even through interior design is well done and kept as authentic, I really did not understand why the owners decided to put large pictures of Marilyn Monroe on the walls in the room?!? They do not fit to the style at all! There could have been very nice pictures of desert, camels, etc… smth Arabic to support the authentic style of this accommodation. So my message to the owner - PLEASE REMOVE THE PICTURES OF MARILYN MONROE from the room 104 🙏🏻

Water drainage in the bath area. It is too slow.

Customer friendly staff at the reception. The breeze from the creek through out the day. The courtyard for meeting friends and business partners. Tasty kadak chai next door.

Adding room ventilation would be good. There are windows but they are covered with glass.

Noisy air conditioning

Air conditioning unit was a bit noisy. No vehicle access for taxi drop off and pick up but staff helped with cases to nearby taxi rank.

The property looked authentic but had modern facilities including air conditioning and a very nice bathroom. Staff were polite and helpful. Location was good near the Metro Station.

There were ants in the room but they were swiftly dealt with by staff; there are ants everywhere in Dubai so nothing exceptional and problem was solved.

Staff were friendly but unfortunately limited English( not a criticism as such as I have NO Arabic) made communication tricky. This may have caused me to miss information given, and requests made not have been understood so not acted on.

Room was very spacious and cool, staff very friendly. The location was very pleasant and quiet, in old part of Dubai. Delightful sitting outside in evening next to Dubai Creek.

Great location, 2min walk to Al Ghubaiba metro station, 5min walk to old Dubai (best part of Dubai IMO) where you have lots of very reasonably priced restaurants and shops. It is quiet, it's is heritage like with door padlocks, and the air conditioning is excellent. Comfortable bed (my safe didn’t work though). Also lots of palm trees and benches outside so nice to sit after long day of site seeing. Great value for money.

It's an awesome place to stay, well located and all facilties nearby. The staff Sameer and Wasir are just awesome! A great thanks to them for them welcome. Will definitely go back. Insha Allah.

Breakfast can not be included in the reservation, and we ordered breakfast, it was served to our room, but it was poor and not worth the 30Dhs we paid.
