To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SingaporeThe pool area could be nicer with more plants and more welcoming atmosphere. As a luxury brand, I could imagine a few more nice amenities in the room (not only for request), like body scrub and candles around the bath tub or fresh flowers.
Great location at the Business Bay. The hotel is in nice condition, room is huge and has a beautiful design, bed is extremely comfortable. Staff is super kind (from the doormen to the receptionist and the waiters). They were kind enough to give us late check-out which made our day much better. Breakfast has good local and international options.

It was an amazing experience, the kids were super happy, every staffs was reception to butler was friendly, welcoming and warmth, I was extremely tired because of the long flight, and I arrived at the hotel at 8am, I asked if it’s possible for an early check in, the kind receptionist told me he will see what he can do, I was at the lobby taking a nap, to my surprised in less than an hour, we were given a room before 9am, the room was excellent, Abdel the butler was fantastic and all ours needs were done in a minute.

ItalyIf we keep coming back to this place there must be a reason. exceptional service and beautiful huge rooms. Nice breakfast and internal restaurants. this year the weather was so nice that we had breakfast everyday on the patio overlooking the water, really refreshing. beside the great experience in the hotel, the place is very convenient in terms of location and there is always a taxi waiting for passengers outside, removing any waiting time. It's the little things like this that sets a place apart from others!
