Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe room was too small and they squeezed a fridge, microwave, big desk, big arm chair into the tiny space. I had to keep my luggage on the floor of the bathroom which was disproportionally big. The towels were thin and yellowish. I could tell it wasn’t dirty but it looked gross. The shower was a disaster. Water spilled everywhere. I had to wipe and dry the floor mat while showering.
It was located in the centre of shopping and sightseeing district.

GermanyThe shower only has a very small glass wall with a very big opening. When showering the complete bathroom will be under water due to that.

AustraliaThe entrance is in a side lane opposite Starbucks (initially difficult to locate) and lift buttons need firm encouragement.
In the centre of the city between department stores, surrounded by food options (indicated on the hotel’s city map) and on direct tram lines fro Centraal or Den Haag HS stations. Room is more than adequate with very comfy bed, bathroom desk, armchair, fridge and close to supermarket and cheaper breakfast options. I based myself here and travelled to other places from Rotterdam to Amsterdam to Haarlem by train.

JapanThe default temperature in the room is a bit low, so you'll have to turn it up every time you enter the room and before going to sleep. The Wi-Fi was decent enough, but the last two days of our stay it stopped working and it wasn't fixed.
The location is great, right in the center of the city, but not too far from the two main train stations, right above the Spui tram stop, and close to 2 or 3 supermarkets. The girls at the reception were always super nice and helpful. The room is quite spacious and comes with a fridge, a microwave oven, and a coffee machine, so you can buy frozen meals in the supermarket, put them in the fridge, and heat them in the microwave oven whenever you want. There are also free drinks (coffee and tea) in the reception. If there's a day you don't want your room to be cleaned up, you can ask in reception and you'll get a free drink coupon (for helping the environment). The bed is not a double, but two single beds place next to each other instead, which may be uncomfortable for couples, but great for friends and/or family.

ItalyRoom a little small for 2 people. Cleanliness of bathroom, towels and linen ok but it could have been better on floor and dust.

United KingdomThe room was well organised but a tiny bit small; my yoga mat only just fitted on the floor. Some shelves inside the wardrobe would have been appreciated. The wardrobe was very big, with a few hangers, then lots of empty space. The pillows were terrible, thin and lumpy. I'd have preferred two plain chairs rather than one upholstered chair - we had to take turns to sit at the desk!
We wanted a central location and were surprised at how quiet it was. The beds were comfortable. The kettle, fridge, and microwave were really useful. When you've been touristing all day and had a big lunch, it's very nice to be able to relax with a glass of cold milk (or wine) and to be able to heat up a pastry. The unexpected big plus was 24-hour bike hire from inside the hotel and a bike-sized lift. The bikes were very good ones. I'd happily stay here again.

IcelandTHE ONLY THING THAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS HOTEL! 🤣 Fix the damn elevator! It was opening left and right when you went into it, and the sounds are not a good touch for people who are paranoid. Other than that, the stay was perfect.
Everything was the way it was supposed to be! Clean, easy and comfy. You get what you pay for and it worked well for a 4 day trip. The room had all you needed. Staff was great and courteous.

LatviaThe room is very small; just one chair, which is inconvenient when two people share the room, desk and meal. An extra folded chair would be helpful. Though I am medium-sized, I would have preferred a bigger (wider) blanket.
Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, perfect cleanliness, the bike room to store our bicycles free of charge, free coffee in the reception, perfect location and view, rooms being soundproof, comparatively soundless fridge and good microwave. Very good pillows, 2 different sizes.
