  • Hotel Pagoda Review Score: 8

“Location, location, location! We couldn't believe it when we saw where it was at the price they were asking. True, the room was small and plain, and there were only two bathrooms and toilets on our floor, but we could walk into the park in five minutes and to the station in ten...and from some rooms you could see the deer grazing in the park.”

  • Nara Hakushikaso Review Score: 10

“Extremely friendly staff, the kaiseki dinner was delicious with a lot of variety, same for the breakfast (opted for Japanese style). Everything was clean, the room was amazing, clean yukatas and haoris were provided daily, the futon beds were very comfortable. This Ryokan is very well located as it's very close to the Kintetsu-Nara train station (with direct trains to both Kyoto and Osaka) and the main streets while still in a very quiet area. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Nara, either for just one night or for a few days!”
