“Varmland Hotel provides a unique and authentic historic experience. The old manor is tastefully decorated with historically accurate pieces that hark back to the time of its creation. Parts of it feel like stepping into a museum. Upon arrival, the very friendly proprietress (who apparently lives on site and can always be reached) moved me into one of the larger suites, which quite frankly had more rooms than I knew what to do with. The bedroom I ended up using was stylish and comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely spotless, and while I did not make use of the kitchen, it appeared to be well-stocked.
Since the suite was located on the first floor, it offered a great view of the lake and town as well, with some hills in the distance. On warmer days, the balcony would be a great place to spend an evening reading.”
