Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaLackluster view. Large support steel beam obstructing what little view I had. Make sure to be careful what rooms you book and ask for room details when you check-in. Gym was a bit disappointing.
Comfortable beds, very lackluster view if your rooms are facing the inner courtyard. I cannot speak for the outward facing rooms. Bathrooms are clean and spacious enough for a group. Large TV was a nice surprise.

United States of AmericaIt is expensive for the location and the "market" was crazy expensive. Private event prevented us from having breakfast or time at the pool on our last day, and we had time to spare before we left the city for the day.
Bryan was nice and helpful at the front desk. Staff was friendly and restocked our room well.

United KingdomThis hotel is probably a little tired and needs a bit of TLC in places - just general wear and tear issues. However, my main issue is no fault of the hotel and has more to do with the location and the homeless population in SD which is on its doorstep. As a woman travelling alone, I did not feel safe in this area, esp' in the evening. And if I were to visit again, I wouldn't opt to stay here.
I stayed a couple of nights at the Andaz in SD, the room was large, bathroom was clean, the bed were really comfy and huge, plus the staff were great and informative. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel but there are some great places close by to grab coffee with good healthy breakfast choices. I requested a quiet room, so I didn't have a room that faced the road, whilst the view wasn't amazing, I had a good night's sleep w/ no disturbances.

United States of AmericaThe parking was the only thing I didn't really like. You have to stop and pull over to the side of the sidewalk, but it is amongst oncoming traffic and the cars are parked all around the building making it difficult to pull over to check in. There is also no self-parking for guests who are checked in, only valet. Tye valet were noce folks, and I didn't mind the option to valet, but it was difficult since you had to stop in the middle of traffic for them to notice you. Also I felt that the price you have to pay to keep your car there overnight for each night you stay as a guest was way to pricey.
I loved how comfortable the bed was. I felt like it was hugging me to sleep. I loved the air conditioning, the plasma screen tv, the fact that the snacks in the room were complimentary, as well as the waters in the mini fridge. I loved that the elevators and door to your room are activated only from your room key. I loved being able to see the view from the rroftop l, and that there was a comfortable sitting area and pool to enjoy. The bath tub we had was huge which was nice to soothe in. And we had a nice view. Overall, it was a nice experience especially since it was our first time in San Diego.

GermanyWe had a room were in front it smelled really bad and though we told them two times they couldn't do anything about it. It would have been great to get another room as the hotel didn't seem to be full.

United States of Americathe only downside - but also its advantage - of the hotel is that it is very central and that’s why it is quite loud outside during the night because of the people partying in Gaslamp Quarter.
Very modern and clean hotel. Great welcoming with complimentary drinks.

United States of AmericaFood should have arrived hot and in the time stated. I stepped on a sharp wire in the carpet. I brought it to the front desk and the concierge took it and said he would let someone know, but there was no follow up. It only pierced my foot and thankfully I could remove it myself, but I would have expected some follow up.
We didn’t eat breakfast. We did order dinner via room service. We were told 15-30 minutes and we waited 45 minutes. The food was pretty cold and one item wasn’t available and we were not told for 30 minutes after ordering. Very mediocre service.
