Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Would have liked a kettle rather than the coffee machine and the hotel provided one on request .
Excellent Location near subways and walking distance to so many places . Warm and clean . Staff helpful arranging transport . Staff quickly responded to requests .

My main comment is about the air-conditioning. It's either the thermostat or the entire unit. Was very hard to get a stable room temperature

The heating system was very noisy so we had to turn it off . Also the room we had did not have trouser press and was also missing an inside window

It was 15-20 minutes walking to the attractions however that wasn't a problem. We had good weather and it was nice to get out and see the city.
We were close to many attractions and we walked to Time Square, Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall. The last couple days we took the subway which was easy and convenient. The room was spacious and clean. There was a separate king size bedroom and had a living room with a pull out couch for our teenagers. The staff was very friendly and helpful with places to eat and setting up a roll in bed one of our daughters. We also had adjoining rooms with our adult kids. The set up was perfect for the 6 of us.

Slightly unclean under the table and between the side table and bed.
charming hotel. Excellent location - lots of restaurants near by. Lots of places are walking distance and the subway is around a minute or so walk. Area is safe and tourist friendly.

The rooms are in need of a refresh but not desperately so.
This was a really wonderful surprise. We looked at the reviews and thought, how could it be so great, but we gave it a chance. It definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff was wonderful. I mean fantastic. And the rooms are comfortable, the hotel is quiet and it's super convenient. Great value. Hats off to the management here.

Staff at reception could be a bit more friendly and helpful (when I asked questions I was answered Yes/No as if I was interrupting them).
Great location. Compare to other hotels in the city: the room was very specious and had 2 queen beds which is very rare in NYC. Also, the parking fee was relatively reasonable. Late checkout was very comfortable option.

The option for breakfast in the hotel would have been nice, specially at this price point (although there are a lot of good places to eat nearby). Just a minor detail, not really an inconvenience, but the shower head does not have a cord, it is attached to the wall.
The room was huge and the bed really big and comfortable. The location is really good, we walked to central park, the empire state building, times square, etc. The staff was always really nice (we didn’t have any specific issue though).
