It’s very comfortable with original ryokan atmosphere. Food was excellence both dinner and breakfast. You need car to get there but it’s worth it.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. This is one of the most memorable stay in Japan for us, the staff is friendly and the place itself is very calming. We enjoy the onsen very much and the history of the building. Highly recommended to visit!

Minshuku Asogen ligger i Aso, 30 km fra Egao Kenko Stadion Kumamoto, 38 km fra Kumamoto Slot og 38 km fra Suizenji Park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Comfortable room with own toilet.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan har 5 varme kilder, herunder et 30 m langt grotte-bad. We spent 3 nights at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihonbashi Kayabacho hotel after arriving in Japan (There is another Fresa Inn in the area, so make sure this is where you have your reservation). It is a relatively modern, functional hotel sometimes referred to as a business hotel.  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small as is typical in Tokyo but very clean and functional.  The hotel is convenient to Tokyo station (20 minutes walking as a reference). After arriving on the Narita Express or by others means to Tokyo station, follow signs to the Tozai line (sky blue) subway. The easiest way to know which direction to go is to look at the numbers representing the stops.  The Tokyo station stop at Otemachi is T-9 and you want to go to T-7 Kayabacho. Leave the Kayabacho subway station via Exit 7 and the hotel is just around the corner.  From Kayabaco or the nearby Nihonbashi station, you can get all around Tokyo on the highly efficient subway system.  Use a Suica, Welcome Suica or Pasmo card to enter and exit subways and avoid the hassle of figuring out which ticket to buy or how much they coat. Just tap and go.  Enjoy. Kokura,Onsen EXPERIENCE JAPAN LIKE THE JAPANESE We decided to spend a couple of days in central Kyushu to enjoy a traditional Japanese ryokan experience. Boy, was that a great call! I88We stayed at the Yama no Yado Shinmeikan  in the Kokura Onsen area, which is an hour north of Aso city by bus. The ryokan is 130 years old but is clean and well-maintained. It features a total of 5 unique onsens, including one carved into a cave.  The ambiance is terrific and the staff is super friendly and helpful.  The ryokan is located along a flowing river and the sound of running water adds to the relaxing quality of the stay.  (The Fuji room is best). All accommodations are traditional Japanese tatami rooms which are made up for sleep each night by the staff as you enjoy the onsen baths.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Very clean rooms and baths, beautiful surrounds and delicious food.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Amazing atmosphere and incredibly nice staff. Delicious food. A beautiful place “suspended in time”.

Nanjoen ligger i centrum af Kurokawa Onsen-området og har i alt 8 indendørs/udendørs varme kilder. Der tilbydes indkvartering i traditionel japansk stil med tatami (vævet halm). gulv og futonsenge. The room was lovely, large tatami room with a table and chairs by a hand he window with a view of the mountains. The bath was well appointed and serene with a nice open air bath area. The dinner and breakfast were just delicious. Highly recommend!

Yamashinobu ligger omgivet af skov og har offentlige og private varme kilder, et astronomisk observatorium og et klaver. Nogle af ferieboligerne i japansk stil har eget udendørs varmt kildebad. Excellent and friendly service. Had to request the hotel to send help due to car being stuck in snow. We'll thought of touches to the rooms.

Boasting spacious indoor and outdoor hot spring baths surrounded by lush greenery, Ryokan Wakaba provides Japanese-style accommodation in the peaceful mountain area. Skønt sted, med den dejligste onsen, både puplic og privat rummet. Værelset var rigtig flot. God mad. Personalet var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Kan kun anbefale stedet.
