Sasebo is a small town, I was made to feel welcome in the local restaurants and bars I went to. The city is in a beautiful location on the south-west coast of Kyushu and there is lots to do. I will go back.

We visited Sasebo with our son who was stationed at the US Navy base 10 years ago. We enjoyed walking around the perimeter of the base and some areas he frequented. Spent only a day and a half in the city.

This was the nicest hotel of the week. The onsen was lovely. The dinner buffet was excellent, and the breakfast was nice as well. The proximity to Huis Ten Bosch was wonderful.
