A great hotel just across the road from the train station.
A great hotel just across the road from the train station. Close to other attractions eg the fish market. The room was a great size and big compared to other Japanese rooms we have stayed.
The breakfast was wonderful - a mix of Japanese and Western food.
The staff were friendly.
We wished we could have stayed longer but we only stayed for a night as a stop over.

Planned for 1 night stay; however while we arrived at Hakodate in the morning, there was unfortunately a slight snow storm that impeded our evening and night touring! And the storm continued till next morning and in the afternoon we left Hakodate for Sapporo, so didn't have the chance to see what we have planned.

We stayed overnight at Hakodate travelling from and back to Sapporo. We got to enjoy the morning seafood market that we were looking forward to and got to visit other places of interest on our drive from and back to Sapporo.
The visits to Mt Hakodate Observatory and Goryokaku Tower were enjoyable and it was also a good thing that the weather was cooperated and we had clear views of the city and sea.

Hakodate is a lovely place to explore if you enjoy Hokkaido seafood. It is a costal city and beautiful in autumn. I explored the city taking the trams and walking. The Red Brick Warehouse is a great place to shop and eat. The streets are super clean and easy to walk. The parks are beautiful with autumn coloured trees and flowers.

I heard so much about the sweet melon.
I heard so much about the sweet melon. Bought a slice at Y400 to try it out. Rather disappointed. Not sweet.
Have to beware about the price difference between sellers for crabs.
Knowing Y per Kg helps.
Amazing place to stay especially given the value. Great location close to the station and opposite the morning seafood market. Room was small but this is expected for most hotels in Japan and we had a beautiful view of the city outside. Amenities and house keeping were very good. The hotel had a voucher system that you could purchase for a meal at the seafood market which was a nice discount. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop onsen was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in Hakodate.
The location was amazing and the views! Our room was very spacious and had amazing views! We were thankful there was dedicated parking and we were able to do a load of laundry during our quick stay. The host was very kind and responsive to my questions. Honestly we loved this guest house and wished we were staying in the area longer! Definitely recommending my to anyone who will be in Hakodate area!
The hotel is well situated for visiting Hakodate's harbor area and the seafood wholesale market, and the staff are courteous and helpful. Although our room was a bit small, this is a "business hotel" meant to provide comfort for value, and if one is looking for a comfortable place to sleep and not in need of larger hotel amenities, this JR Inn fills the bill well enough.
This hotel is impeccably clean. The lounge on level 17 has amazing sunset views with a bar open at certain times of the day. The onsrn on Level 18 was. lovely, soaking.away tired muscles each day was a delight. Loved having a washing machine/dryer in our room.
Location is a 4 minute walk to Hakodate JR Station and at the edge of the morn8ng fish market.
Huge apartment style room. Service from all staff are incredible and made our 4 days stay very memorable. We walked from the hotel to Red Brick House and slowly stroll to Mt Hakodate Ropeway. Plenty of restaurants around the area. Highly recommend the conveyor sushi near JR Station (Nemoru Hanamaru), had our best meal there with reasonable pricing.
The staff were very understanding and helpful when there was an issue with my booking. The building interior is very nice, and the provided amenities were great. The location of the hotel was also very strategic, it seemed like everything you would want to see in Hakodate was either a short walk or tram ride away!
Location of this hotel was very convenient to the Hakodate train station The tram stops is also a few minutes away. Hotel is also close to an assortment of eateries: from Izakaya to Ramen noodle shops. About 5 minute walk away was the excellent Hakodate Morning Market, which had a plethora of food choices.
I love this place so much , easy to check in , the room was big enough for family. The morning market and Lucky Pierrot hamburger was super close to the hotel.
Soooooo convenience !!!
I can walk to the Port and many places from the hotel.
This hotel is in my list if I come back to Hakodate again for sure.
The hotel is new and fitted with modern and high quality fixtures. The separate toilet and bathroom is convenient to the guests. We like the full equipped kitchen inside the room much like service apartment. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It is a stone throw away from Hakodate morning market.
The APA in Hakodate Ekimae was very good. The personnel spoke very good English (which surprised me since it wasn't the case in Kyoto).
Breakfast was the best of all APA hotels I stayed with. Loved it!
The room was much bigger so it was a bit more comfortable for luggages.
The hotel is attached to Hakodate station. We stayed in the twin room. It was spacious overlooking the fish market and the harbour. Room had separate toilet which helps. Choice of extra pillows helps when you have kids along. The extra amenities on offer were fantastic.
good location and very nice view of both bay and mountain we can see from the room.
breakfast line is wonderful, even it’s quite packed as there are not enough seats considering room and guest number for the hotel but the food variety and quality can compensate.
Hotel was just next to the Hakodate JR Station. Less than 10 minute taxi ride from goryokaku park.
Nice view, nice room, comfortable bed. We loved that the raised bed platform provided a seating space by the window, with wooden table to enjoy the night view.
This was my first time in Hakodate, and in a ryokan styled hotel. I think the service was exceptional, the staff worked together to made us feel welcome. Kudos to Satou-san who spoke English very well and made my family feel very welcome.
This hotel is close to all of the attractions and restaurants. Hakodate station is only 10 mins walking distance. I also really like the fact that they have on site hot springs and morning AYCE Japanese style breakfast.
The location was super convenient, just across the road to JR Hakodate Station, walking distance to the market and the harbor. The room was typically small but well-cleaned. Perfect for our short stay in Hakodate.
The Hotel is located not far from Hakodate station, there is a local supermarket next to the hotel, and the room size is a normal business hotel standard, and clean with all the necessary items.
A very comfortable stay and all the staff were polite, helpful and nice. The hotel was near to Lawson, Family Mart and JR Hakodate Station. The beds were comfortable.
