The house is bigger and better than the photos. The big living room was our favorite place to hang out with lots of light and windows to the swimming pool. The outside area was a little green heaven, entirely fenced (great for whom brings pets), it had BBQ facilities, hammock beds, sun loungers, and the pool that was sun bathed the entire day (unfortunately due to the weather being cold we were unable to enjoy it). The house is somewhat isolated and car is needed, however in about 10mins one reaches the city of Tomar which has everything. For those who plan longer stays the kitchen is well equipped and there is a dishwasher and laundry machine. The house owner Elizete was always available and quickly responded to any of our questions, also gave us a lot of information to help improving our stay.

The home was spacious, comfortable, fully equipped, quiet but not far from Tomar & our host Ana was so friendly & helpful. We found the location to be convenient to drive to several historic towns but peaceful in it’s country setting. Ana has a talent for growing things too, we were too early for most of her produce but she introduced us to loquats since they were ripe. So delicious right off her tree.

The location is fantastic. We were able to tour Coimbra, the Roman ruins at Conimbriga and the beach at Nazare.. Of course we toured the Knights Templar castle in Tomar. The suite is private and the bed was very comfy. Helen really made us feel like family. Fresh bread is delivered daily and oranges and lemons grow on site.

Our room was very big and comfortable and the bathroom meticulously clean. To top it all off, we were also offered a breakfast. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who even showed us the old villa and told us fashioning stories of a time that once were. What an experience!
