Manchester is a very vibrant attractive city with lots of arts and culture and the tram system is superb, especially for a wheelchair. People are full of northern charm and humour. Ppl hold doors open and help with the wheelchair as opposed to the attitude down south that you are inconveniencing them! Always look forward to going back.

Manchester does not have enough green space in the centre!
Manchester does not have enough green space in the centre! (I stayed in Piccadilly).it doesn't have an 'old town' per se, either. I don't really understand the city planning that went into this place. The Manchester Museum was a bit of a bust, but the People's Museum of Manchester was outstanding. I wouldn't go out of my way to travel to Manchester again.

Manchester is great if you want to watch Manchester United football game, but it was less vibrant than I thought it would be. There are a few cool places to go, but overall you could easily see what you need in a day .

Manchester is the city for one or two days.
Manchester is the city for one or two days. The best is good train connection to other more attractive towns (York, Nottingham, Chester, Liverpool for example) as well as a good start place to continue to North Wales, Isle of Man or Lake District. In such case of short one day trips you can spend in Manchester more than one week.
This hotel gets a really bad rep when really it is wonderful. I’ve never had any issues with this place. The staff are always wonderful. They’ll chat to you all day and check you in nice and quick. Location perfect. Right bang in Manchester City centre. I had booked for a gig in the city and needed somewhere central to Piccadilly for when I went to wales the day after.
Room had no faults whatsoever. The windowless room had air con and tea and coffee in ect.
Just basic things that you’ll need. Great because I was out for most of it.
Excellent location - Manchester City Centre
We booked for a theatre show - Pretty Woman
Parking very close (shutters are down but open as you try to enter Q parking) plenty of spaces
Breakfast was delicious (we ate @ 730am Sunday & 9am Monday - no queues) - attentive staff
Room was lovely & we really like having the fridge store drinks & food (Marks & Spencer meal in for two)
Plenty of shops close by buy drinks/food -
Clean, modern, stylish - like a hotel but apartments
We stayed on the 12th floor
The hotel is great! All Hampton by Hilton hotels have very high standards of food, service and comfort, so you will not do a mistake by choosing them where ever they have hotel.
The Manchester Hampton by Hilton is great, 15 min walk from city center, but if you don't want to walk, there is a bus station right across the hotel. The breakfast is great, especially the English breakfast :)
I sincerely recommend it to anyone who goes to visit Manchester.
Beautiful, clean, modern, contemporary well thought out room with excellent views of Old Trafford, Manchester City Centre and Peak District. Bed was super comfortable with USB / power sockets either side. Lots of storage and desk space. TV was great too. Breakfast very good, staff friendly and attentive. I stay in Manchester a lot and this hotel is excellent value for money and I will definitely say this is the best non spa hotel in Manchester.
The room had great facilities, was clean and had loads of available sockets. Good amount of parking and a separate entrance for hotel guests from the entrance once you checked in. Be mindful if you are checking in at a peak dinner time that you have to walk through the restaurant to check in, we were not well dressed.
Otherwise it's only a ten min walk to the station and a ten min train into Manchester Piccadilly. I'd stay here again 👍
We had a great stay in Manchester. Hotel is situated right in the heart of the city centre, near the turbulent, creative, Northern Quarter, where we spent most of our time. Hotel offers typical Motel One standard, which is definitely over the average. Everything is very stylish and modern. Space in the room is cleverly used. Comfortable bed. Cozy lobby invites for a drink in the evening hours. Fair price.
The location is fairly close to the airport but not close to the city centre for anyone who is interested is having a better connection to Manchester central. The nearest bus takes about 35 minutes to get to the centre. The only thing I liked about our room was the lighting in the bathroom and how easily the toilet would flush.
Stayed at the hotel twice while passing through Manchester. A very basic hotel, but great value and very close to the train station. The reception ( Kevin ) was absolutely fantastic and the reason we chose to stay here the second time. Great for an overnight stay.
The atmosphere of the hotel is really cozy and it is set in a quiet neighbourhood close to a tram station. Our room was quite big for uk standards and really comfortable. I would totally recommend this for your trip to Manchester, far from the chaotic city centre.
Lovely staff, modern and clean hotel finished with quality fixtures fittings. Perfect great base for exploring Manchester City centre and for our visit to the Arena.
Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone....you won't be disappointed!!
Perfect for what we needed (a hotel the night before the Manchester Marathon). The room was clean and the staff were super helpful. It was great to have access to the spa, we popped in for an hour and it was lovely.
We stayed when the hotel was new so we were already familiar with the location on the edge of Manchester City Centre. The checkin process was quick and friendly but that’s the only real positive thing I can say.
Quirky Hotel with lots of fun features like the swag bag...and tasteful decor
Staff were lovely and we had a good laugh with Concierge
Great view across the city centre
Probably the best hotel in Manchester!
Good atmosphere, friendly staff and gorgeous rooms and great location. Ideal for people who want to venture round Manchester cause the hotel is smack bang in the center of everything :)
Staff was really good with use and the hotel is located in the city centre, next to the train station and all buses linked perfectly. You know where to go for a weekend in Manchester!
The location of this hotel is fantastic. You are slap bang in the middle of Manchester city center. The staff were friendly even at 3am in the morning and the room was clean and tidy.
