Siraj and his family are the epitome of Tunisian hospitality. He can recommend a tour company that is slightly cheaper than others in the area (very helpful for a solo backpacker) Also he is very helpful when it comes to navigating the louages departure times; which can be challenging when you only speak English. I wish I had just bypassed Douz and spent the extra time in Tozeur. The countryside is beautiful! Thank you for everything.

We had an excellent stay in Dar Alaa. The apartment is spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is located in a quiet and safe street, walking distance to the Medina and the entrance to the old oasis. What made our stay particularly special was the kindness of our host Alaa. He took such good care of us by offering suggestions for activities, which were all excellent. He made the reservations for us. This was outstanding hospitality. He was very responsive and made sure we had all we needed. Amazing host! Check-in was easy too. We highly recommend Dar Alaa to any travelers interested in exploring Tozeur and its surroundings.

Dar Chaka is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Tozeur. As you step into the courtyard you feel you’ve come home, especially with co-owners Ines and Zied there to welcome you. Spotlessly clean, spacious and fully equipped with two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen, the guest house has everything you will need. The shady patio behind the house has comfortable seating and lovely plantings. Every detail has been carefully planned. The hosts, especially Ines, are extremely helpful and hospitable; they even went to Carrefour to buy beer for me! The location is excellent. The Medina is not far and there are several good restaurants, cafes and shops all within a couple of minutes walk.

Great spot for our family of 5 for a few nights. Host is very friendly and helpful with nearby suggestions. There is plenty to do around Tozeur, I wish we had more time to stay. Location was fine, quiet neighborhood and about a 20-30 minute walk to the town. Overall a great stay!

    The owner was very welcoming and spoke perfect English. He was able to answer all our questions and was always willing to help! Communication via WhatsApp worked perfect. The WiFi in the apartment worked great and the apartment itself was very spacious and clean! We had a great time in Tozeur and would definitely recommend this apartment!

    Tozeur is a very genuine bereber city. It is very near he door of the desert. Thus it was a place very different for us. But, Hedi, the owner of the apartment was infinitely helpful, friendly and responsible. The trips to other places were magical. Each day it was a very special adventure.

    Zied, the owner, is friendly and responds promptly. The apartment is comfortable for up to 5 people. However, it is not 175 m², more like 60-70 m². Easy parking in the neighborhood.

    My family and I got the barbarian apartment The breakfast was generous and tasty The apartment is outstanding and the design is breathtaking, clean and very comfortable it was family friendly and in such strategic location everything we needed was about 4-5 minutes away and the neighborhood was calm Most importantly the people who welcomed us are very friendly ☺️
