The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. All apartments come with full kitchen facilities and many also have sea views. We loved everything about our stay! We were blown away by the supply of items for guests to use during their stay. From board games/dvds, to beach gear, bicycles, bbqs, coolers etc. we had a fantastic time with more than we could ever need. We could walk to 4 mile beach in less than 1 minute, and we were surrounded by countless restaurants/cafes/shops on the other side.

Lovely sea facing room, very clean, spacious and smelled delightful. Beautiful pool. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Lovely restaurant with fabulous food.

When I read the reviews saying that every thing had been thought of, I think I dismissed it as just a saying. But the reality is that this is the case at this property. So much thought has gone into the set up. Mike and Rob really understand what travellers need and provide it. Sport on the tv was much appreciated! they are very low-key, and did not intrude upon your holiday. But are there if you need them for advice and or chats. It’s a great location a 1km walk up the beach to the small town. There are only two rooms. Worked well for our family of four.

The pool and gardens are as stunning as they look and the balcony view was wonderful. Very comfortable and would stay again. They also provided a high chair for us with our baby, which was wonderful (no cot though, so be sure to bring or rent if you need one)

The bed was so comfortable that I checked the brand because I’d like to purchase for my home. Location is 2 minute walk from the beach and there is a grocery store 2 minute away. It was a good base to explore Cairns.
