We had a great stay at Manoir du Bois Mignon. The location is excellent for day trips in the Dordogne region, including canoeing on the Ardèche river. The accommodation is even prettier than the photos suggest: the room (or in our case rooms as we stayed on the top floor), shared living areas on the ground floor and the garden and pool. Very good breakfast. The hosts (Vanessa and Rob) go above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your stay. The best surprise was dog Rosie, who welcomed us every day with her cuddles!

Where to start? It’s absolutely immaculate, beyond 5* quality rooms and service. Amazing breakfast, great tour of the wine making facility too. If this was in the UK it’d be three times the price. we loved it.

Welcomed by hosts Vanessa and Rob, we instantly felt at home in the wonderful Manoir and its surroundings. Our rooms were spacious, private, with an ensuite equipped with body washes and shampoos etc. Everything was clean and just as one would hope. Vanessa and Rob were helpful, friendly and great company. The breakfast was excellent We went with our five year old and he had great fun and loved it too. The manoir is in a great location for hiking nearby and easily accessible. Rob and Vanessa were fantastic hosts, really welcoming and always on hand to answer any queries. We would highly recommend and their Labrador Rose was the cherry on top.

Beautiful surroundings, away from the hubbub of modern day life and with the most charming and helpful hosts we have ever experienced. The breakfasts were delightful (fresh eggs every day) and 'home-cooked' evening meals meant there was little need to leave the accommodation at all! When we did want to leave, our hosts booked the vineyards and restaurants - all within very easy reach. Parfait.
