Abbey's Inn is in a perfect location within walking distance to the town centre and just a short drive to many of the local tourist attractions. It has ample free parking with a lovely local bar/pizza restaurant across the main road.
The house itself is beautiful, with easy access via key safe security. You enter the property into the owner's kitchen (not for use by guests). The rooms are upstairs - you also have a separate key for your own room.
Our ensuite bedroom was spotlessly clean. It was made up as a twin as requested, and there was adequate room for bedside tables. The beds were super comfy, and we both slept well. The room also had an easy chair, a large chest of drawers, and space to hang some clothes. We were very pleased to see there was a kettle with tea/ coffee/milk and some biscuits! The addition of a fan was much needed for our stay.
The shower room was a good size and had shower gel, shampoo, and handwash supplied. We had a small issue with the thermostat on the shower, but this was repaired within half an hour of reporting it to Abbey.
Abby was a super host - welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely return in the future.

We recently enjoyed a delightful stay at The Manor in their family room. Traveling with our two children, we found the accommodations comfortable and well-suited to our needs.

It's evident they take immense pride in the hotel and in ensuring every visitor has a memorable and enjoyable stay. Their commitment and care create a unique charm that makes the manor hotel a truly special place.
One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the fantastic breakfast. The selection was excellent, and the quality of the food truly stood out – a perfect start to our days.
The amazing garden provided a wonderful space for relaxation and for the children to burn off some energy. It was a real oasis and a lovely feature of the property.
The location of The Manor proved to be incredibly convenient for our planned visit to Alton Towers. The proximity made for a stress-free journey to and from the park, which was a huge bonus.
Overall, our stay at The Manor was a very positive experience. The combination of comfortable family accommodation, a great breakfast, a stunning garden, and its close proximity to Alton Towers made it an ideal choice for our family getaway. We would certainly recommend The Manor to other families visiting the area.

Property perfectly situated for Uttoxeter and in particular the racetrack and railway station. Host was exceptional. Kept in contact with us prior to arrival to ensure everything was ready for us. Met us on arrival and explained everything. Never saw him again until he welcomed us to breakfast the next day. Breakfast was superb. Full English with cereal and fresh fruit if required. The room was very comfortable with quality products.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Nice clean room, separate from the main building so nice and private and perfect for us coming back late! Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We would stay again!
Great location for the southern Peak District, in a pleasant and functional barn. We only met any of the owners very briefly on check-in and appreciated the complimentary hamper of brownies, coffee, milk and fruits. The venue was quieter than expected for a working farm (just one moderately vocal cow, which still wasn't too loud) and the chance to see the cows and a few other animals near the cottage was a fun treat.
Very reasonably priced and great location for Alton Towers. It suited us perfectly for a couple of nights and Agnes was a great host. No bar or restaurant other than breakfast included, but with the high street a minutes walk away and 2 supermarkets within walking distance it allowed us to stock up on alcohol for the adults without breaking the bank and plenty of takeaway options which we could eat in our room or in the lovely garden when the sun-shined in the evening.
Very welcoming hosts. Peter was charming and welcoming. Wonderful breakfast, freshly cooked and well presented. Great location to be able to visit Alton Towers.
The friendly and welcoming vibe from the owners was brilliant, a welcome change from the "my job is customer service" smile and feel. The bed and breakfast was comfortable and homely, and the grounds are beautiful.
The TV channels were great and the signal for the area for TV and mobile phone are good too.
I highly recommend this bed and breakfast for those who want a quieter and blissful time.
