The location was fabulous, so close to the beach and promenade. Room size was great and the sea view a bonus. Staff were very friendly and travelling with dogs I was so grateful how everyone was so accommodating.

The hotel is very cozy and exceptionally clean. Diana is warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her! I particularly liked the kitchen area which we used to eat a pizza after the gig we attended at nearby Poprecs. Diana also provides cereal, bread, jams and fresh milk for breakfasts. This was perfect for us as an alternative to the usual big breakfast served early in the day in other hotels. It was particularly nice having tea and toast on the terrace with a beautiful view of the river

The location was handy for the reason I was in Sunderland - a gig at Pop Recs. The tea/coffee making facilities were good. The bed was okay. The toilet flushed.

Good location. Easy to find from train station. And close to sea front. Nicely decorated room. Lovely toiletries to use and plenty of tea coffee even Canned water and chocolate bars was a lovely touch.

The cleaner Linda was reallly the only member of staff we seen she was so helpful and accommodating for us I actually thought she was management we did see staff on check in day A lot of them were stood talking amongst themselves and not doing a lot I think if it wasn’t for Linda this woul have been 1 star she is an asset to Marsden grotto

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, clean, and very comfortable. Food was delicious and piping hot. Even saw some baby bunny rabbits hopping about outside of my window. Would definitely stay again.
