Fourways Guest House enjoys a location in Thirsk, 16 miles from Lightwater Valley Theme Park and 20 miles from Ripley Castle.

It is a little old fashioned but that didn’t bother us. Car parking on site was good. Bedroom was an adequate size and had a large bathroom with an excellent walk in shower.

Great location. Cosy ensuite single room was perfect, with view of the market place. It was quiet too. Great for breakfast downstairs. Loved the beautiful old staircase. Staff were helpful, the young woman on reception kindly carried my suitcase up the stairs. I'll be back.

In a secluded, private courtyard this quaint little cottage is a hidden gem. Standing out front you could imagine the street life of 100 years ago just by looking around you. We stayed a couple of days and wished we would have stayed a couple more as The Bakery Cottage and Thirsk are steeped in history and we didn’t get a chance to take it all in. In summary, if you’re looking for a quiet few days away with beautiful surroundings then you shouldn’t look any further than The Bakery Cottage.

Beautiful property. We loved having a private hot tub and using the pool too was almost private as it was nice and quiet. The velvetiser was an amazing touch and the coffee machine with pods. Also really loved having robes and slippers- felt like a luxury hotel!
