I can't recommend Casa do Coura highly enough. A fabulous accommodation in a beautiful setting. Sandra and Gustavo are the most amazing hosts, who make sure your stay is comfortable. My room was immaculate, as was all of the property. Beautiful garden area to relax in. Sandra spoiled me with the most fabulous breakfast....The table was laden with all manner of wonderful breakfast items; her home made jams, scones and delicious organic strawberries were exceptional. Sandra even packed some scones for me to take with me. Getting a lovely lucky 4 leaf clover from Sandra was beautiful. Gustavo very kindly gave me a lift back to Camhina and to the taxi boats for my crossing the Minho. Exceptional people in every way.

The hotel was in beautiful location, we could have walks both the river Minho straight across the road and the church and very beautiful old town just over the wall.the people working there were very welcoming friendly and helpful, the room beautiful- a welcome refuge on our caminho walk. The food was really good, top class and the people in the restaurant good fun also.., a very convivial atmosphere.

Great reception, Great service, great breakfast. I really like the attention to detail of the owner. Great for a one night stay. 2 minute walk from the river, 15 min walk from the beach. 5 minute walk from the center downtown. Great stay, professional and owners goes out of his way to assist you.

I think all the bad reviews are from before renovations. Everything is new in this hotel and the beds are very comfy. The rooms and bathrooms are very modern and we had a lovely balcony as well. If you’re a pilgrim this place is a blessing. There’s only a few rooms and in the hallway there’s a coffee machine (amazing for early morning departures before anything opens), as well as a “first aid” kit that contains everything for blisters and other pilgrim injuries. the attention to details is beyond words. And the owner replied to all my messages instantly and also let us check in much, much earlier, as well as helped us get a water taxi for the next day. She is amazing and her place is perfect and luxurious at a great price. I definitely recommend
