The host was exceptionally nice and showed us around the newly renovated house, with the basement from the 15th century. Viseu is a beautiful city and worth visiting.

Really nice hotel in a great location, close to everything! The room was upstairs and overlooked the street, with a charming little balcony and a super comfortable bed. I wish I could have stayed longer. The owner also runs a restaurant right next door and that was probably the best meal I had in Portugal. Delicious tapas, definitely worth it to eat there if you can. I would eat there even if I wasn't staying at the hotel.
