L'Esplanade Lille is set in the historic centre of Lille in front of the Citadel of Lille and a 14-minute walk from Lille Grand Place. Seriously, this is one of the best hotels I have booked. Ambiance is perfect. The room is lovely, large, comfortable, clean, warm and with a beautiful view. 5-10mins walk to the center and nice bars or restaurants. Breakfast was peaceful, with a nice view and appretizing.

The owners have exceptional taste & have established a beautiful, relaxing environment for their guests. Bruno was very helpful & provided us with useful local information for our 1 night stay. The location is also perfect for a bit of sight seeing & eating out all on foot. It was a fabulous end to our French holiday before crossing the tunnel, which is only 30 mins away.

Friendly amazing food 4 course evening meal and breakfast was cooked by our host a lot of the preserves and yogourt was home made. Facilities in the bedroom with tea, shower very good and coffee machine and water, we had a whole floor to ourselves, with a very friendly cat. Would definitely come back especially for the food.
