We stayed in Sycamore Cottage at The Peacock at Barlow and absolutely loved it. The cottage itself is cosy, beautifully done, and just the right mix of comfort and style. Breakfast at the main inn was a real highlight — generous, tasty, and served with a smile. The whole place has a warm, welcoming feel, and the team clearly care about making guests feel at home. A great spot for a relaxing break — we’d happily come back.

The Avenue is perfectly located 3 mins walk from the delightful town centre of Bakewell with a good selection of bars and restaurants and local bus services very close by.The property was spotlessly clean and very warm and welcoming and very quiet at nights despite being situated on the A6.Sarah the proprietor was an excellent and helpful host and provided a lovely breakfast of delicious locally sourced ingredients and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again !.

He described places near the property that we might enjoy. The shower was clean and the temp and pressure were great. The bed was quite comfortable and the blanket was very warm. The WiFi was strong and there were ample outlets to charge our phones and other devices. Breakfast was fresh and outstanding! We couldn’t ask for much more.

Great room, decor is beautiful, comfy bed, spotlessly clean. Fridge in room with Prosecco was a lovely surprise also muffins. We even had a dual control electric blanket. There’s also a fan and extra heater in room if you need either. Shower is great, nice and hot. Lots of choice for breakfast, yoghurt, fruit, malt loaf, croissants, cereal, toast, crumpets and more. Theres also a beautiful lounge to relax in. Michael is such a great host and lovely company. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The house and room were very comfortable and clean. The shared bathroom was new, clean, and very spacious. I would definitely stay here again. Good value for the price.

Situato a Castleton, a 16 km da Buxton Opera House, Bulls Head, Castleton prevede un giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito, un ristorante e un bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and staff actually took us to our room. There are only 5 rooms and nobody was noisy. The pub has excellent food and many people who were eating at dogs which were all well behaved. The bathrooms are remodeled, and breakfast is brought to your room. Good parking behind the Bull's Head.

Excellent accommodation in a lovely location. Lynne and Pete were lovely to chat to and provided a high standard of service. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided and breakfast was a broad range of options including a cooked breakfast.

The freshly-made pastries were scrumptious. The location was perfect - quiet and just a short walk to the city centre. The lovely rooms were decorated with attention to detail and comfort and conducive to a restful and peaceful sleep. Very much enjoyed our stay.
