Ty Castell Guest House is situated in Caerphilly, 13 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus, 13 km from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, as well as 14 km from Cardiff Castle. The owner Steve was very accommodating, and told me what pubs where good to go to. The "room" was actually a full corner of the house, an upstairs corner bedroom/hallway/bathroom suite. There were windows everywhere and a fabulous view of the Caerphilly valley. The castle is an easy walk away just down the hill, but far enough up the hill that it was silent at night. If you have a car, Cardiff is only an easy short drive away, so you could make this your escape-from-the-madness getaway.
