The lodging is in the ground floor of a carefully modernized and upgraded house in the center of Gouveia. The host was completely fluent in English and Portuguese, and answered lots of questions about the town and surrounding area. The room was large and quiet, with a large spotless bath. The property had a beautiful backyard where my sister spent her day. The rest of us spent the day going on a hike/walk. The hiking trail was very quiet. Daniela is a wonderful hostess. She gave us suggestions for hikes, meals and places to visit on our way back to Coimbra. The breakfast was very good.
