Communication via email and text was excellent with very clear instructions about self check-in. The guesthouse is conveniently located within a short walking distance of the station, hotels and shops.

We had a fantastic weekend at Closeburn House. Steve and Paul were so friendly and welcoming. The property is gorgeous and they have done a wonderful job at renovating, stylish, fresh and very cosy. The breakfast was exceptional and a real highlight. A superb two course breakfast with homemade relishes and banana bread, perfectly cooked eggs too. I would highly recommend Closeburn House for a quiet weekend, it’s a 10 minute drive to Blackheath which has some great restaurants, bars and pubs. Many fantastic walks close by too. Such a wonderful place, will definitely be back!

Located in the centre of the Blue Mountains, No.14 Lovel St is just 500 metres from Katoomba train station. Everything! Such a magical place… rarely felt as good in somewhere… I regret not staying more. I will come back for sure

The cabin was impeccably clean, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated—everything felt warm and inviting. The location is also ideal, just a short drive to breathtaking waterfalls and scenic walking trails. If you’re looking for a peaceful and romantic escape, Falls Rest is the place to be. What a pleasant surprise to find this gem. It’s hard to describe all the wonderful interior elements, such as the mid-century furniture and lovely touches of antiques. There were nice touches of art work too, and in fact, I felt like I was visiting an antique store. The location is perfect, so close to the stores and shops and Mountain Culture Brewery which is across the street. I can’t forget the garden with fresh herbs and lime tree which we used to cook with. The kitchen amenities were the best I’ve seen, it was like they knew I was coming. Beds and bedding was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. My favorite part was the inside porch nook which was a perfect reading spot and bird watching. Thanks for the binoculars!
