The room is nice and pretty spacious for 4 people. The girl who received us was super nice and friendly. The breakfast is also nice too. And the thing we like the most is the location of the house, just follow the instructions and then you just have to walk about 3-5 mins to get to the house without climbing the stairs dragging the luggage.

The host is lovely—she gave us many recommendations, ensured we knew what trains to take for our outings, gave us small gifts and goodies, offered to help us get laundry washed, and provided flexibility with check in and check out. All this she did with patience and a smile, even though we could not speak Mandarin and had to rely on translation apps. The location is excellent—walking distance to several buses and trains to nearby Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, Bitoujiao, Keelung, and other great spots. The room itself is quiet, comfortable, and spacious with great lighting. It seems very clean and modern, with nothing out of date and everything functioning perfectly. It is well-appointed and nicely laid out. Guests have access to water, a refrigerator, a tea kettle, coffee, and fast/consistent WiFi. The toiletries and soaps were luxury, and we took note of the shower gel in particular so we can buy it to take home. This place is exceptional value, easy to book and find, and offered us complete privacy and autonomy. The host provided great communication from our initial booking until we said goodbye. Overall we give this hotel our highest recommendation—it was our favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed in on our visit throughout the island. The next time we come to the Taipei area, we will stay here.

Sun beds there too if you have the time. Very clean, nice breakfast. Incredibly friendly hosts. Highly recommended. short drive to Jiufen. Great drives in all direction along the coast.

The views at this BnB is arguably the best in all of JiuFen. The owner has put great thought in the layout and design to the rooms and facilities for guests. The place is clean and pristine with comfortable beds and bathrooms.

Cedar Lodge is very quiet, with a small courtyard in front where you can sit and enjoy the mountain view, facing Keelung Mountain. The indoor space is spacious and comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need. The unique design reflects the owner’s thoughtful attention to detail. I will definitely stay here again next time!
