We were expecting subpar accommodations. We could not have been more wrong! We were greeted by John on arrival. We did have the rooms with attached bathrooms, these were absolutely lovely. The Inn is historically maintained and beautiful. There are historic pictures of Sarah neck. Lake displayed throughout the Inn. Upon entry there is a community room with coffee and John made a beautiful fire for us Saturday morning in the fireplace. Didn’t get to the basement, but I heard from my goddaughter there is a nice area for teens to hang with a pool table and kitchen. We appreciated the request to bring slippers - I assume in order to protect the gorgeous wood floors. 👍Upon entry, there is a large enclosed heated porch, where we were able to leave shoes and any gear we had. Great location, at the end of a quiet road, but close to everything and very walkable. I heard there may be an option in the future to bring your pet. I hope that comes to be. Regardless, we will definitely be back often as our goddaughter will be attending school in the area.
