The dome was clean, bright and had loads of cosy blankets, and that bed is more comfortable than ours!
The cooking facility has everything you would need.
And don't even get me started on the view. Beautiful.
Thank you so much!

The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, far comfier than I've ever had staying in a hotel! I loved the decor and getting up in the morning to birds singing and the most wonderful view definitely topped it off. Zoe and Tony were a lovely couple and very welcoming. We will be staying again!

What a wonderful place to stay, this was definitely the best accommodation we stayed at after 9 days of Scotland. We enjoyed the view, the cosiness and atmosphere, and the great hospitality. Anne was an amazing host, she was willing to check for us our self-picked Chantarelles from the afternoon and shared with us some herbs and veggies from her garden to complete our dinner cooking. The sunroom was gorgeous with solid cooking facilities. Everything was very authentic. Cast-iron pots and pans, firewood heater, selfmade tea towels. Most of all the attention of detail really finished off the experience. The hut was beautifully made and Anne arranged complimentary self made biscuits, local gin and tonic, marshmallows for roasting over the firewood heater, not even to start about the ornamental attention to detail. Even the selection of books were perfectly fitting with the setting. Would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.

Angus met us when we arrived to collect the keys and we had a nice chat with him about things to do. The location is beautiful and tranquil, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunsets and deer from the veranda. The pod was well-stocked and extremely comfortable. All our needs were thought of and cared for, from light switches next to the bed to heating and even a pint of milk in the fridge. A truly unforgettable experience and we are very grateful, thank you Angus
Well-budgeted and -situated option for a Cairngorms trip. Staff are friendly, there's plenty of space, the rooms are well-equipped and cosy, and the hotel is close to a bunch of solid nearby attractions like the Highland Folk Museum or the Wildlife safari. The fact that it was dog friendly was also a big bonus.
Beautiful hotel, very well presented with great verandah overlooking the water & amazing sunset. Room very big with same great view to the islands
Loved the location of the cabin on site. Sitting on the veranda watching the loch and lovely wildlife was just perfect. We took another couple who hadn't been to Scotland before, and they fell in love with the location and the beautiful scenery.
Very nice and spacious room, very well decorated, with cattle and wildlife themes. Everything was comfortable. Kettle and fridge available in the room. The self-service breakfast left at the door is a nice concept. Quiet and natural setting, with grass all around the house and outside tables where to enjoy the landscape and the sunset. Centrally located (to the isle), so exploring every corner was convenient, just 15m from Portree.
Fantastic location close to wilderness and wildlife, whilst remaining within easy driving distance and manageable walking distance of Ballater. Colin was extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was decent and breakfast very good. Bonus seeing a variety of birds and red squirrels on the feeders outside.
A warm, cosy space with amazing views. Such a peaceful beautiful part of the world. The pod had everything we needed, and well equipped for a small space. The veranda had great views offering comfy chairs and fire pit. The dogs loved the heated floor and the area was secure for them to walk around. There's an abundance of wildlife to watch; otters, seals, birds and deer. The area is great for walking and the beaches are beautiful. We can't fault anything.
We love coming back to Wellsfield. Watching the sunset from the veranda (wrapped in a blanket at this time of year!) is just perfect.
