Probably the most unique and beautiful places I have ever had the fortune to stay. Silk sand and crystal clear water! Sook Peng and Fred are wonderful and kind hosts who help to ensure a brilliant stay. They help to organize all the travel arrangements from your lodgings in Kota Kinabalu to the island via car and boat, and it all worked seamlessly. The food that Sook Peng cooked was simply fantastic and some of the best I have had during my whole trip. The lodge is very unique and they take their environmental responsibility very seriously. Staying on the island is a once in a lifetime experience. It’s completely deserted apart from a small village and there are lots of different activities one can do. (Kayak, snorkel, diving, guided walks). We did bonfires at night and spent the days in hammocks just meters from the beach as the local island cows wandered past.

Extremely helpful staff members - did our washing for us with a rapid turn around, moved our suitcases to our new room on the second night, helped us with transport to the national park etc. Clean rooms with efficient fan and comfortable beds. Free bottled water provided, with beautiful views of sunset from kitchen and terrace. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Situé à Sandakan, dans la région de Sabah, le Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge propose des hébergements avec connexion Wi-Fi et parking privé gratuits. The room was really comfortable with everything needed. Good breakfast and dinner, there was enough food and it was good. The price for the dinner (35 MYR per person is very reasonable in my opinion, especially considering the remote location). We really enjoyed the river cruises. One of them was the highlight of our trip to Borneo as we got to see the herd of pigmy elephants. The boat driver/guide was very excited as well, he changed the position of the boat numerous times while we were watching the elephants so that we could do lots of wonderful photos.
