Great location in Daintree just past the ferry (if you’re new to the area, be sure to google the Daintree ferry so you understand the situation). Very cool in the rainforest and a nice crowd. Also good value for the money.

Experience tranquility requires time to seep into your being. Be sure to book enough time, or come early and leave late as hosts and the property are wonderful. The beautiful wood surrounded by nature reminded us of the Serengeti, so close to Eden. Robbie’s breakfasts are reason enough to stay.

Greg has done a great job to make his accommodations completely off the grid and eco sustainable. The cabins are well appointed, roomy, and very comfortable. There is a large community area with a billiards table and swimming pool. Food and beverage is also available on site which is very convenient in this rural, yet exquisitely beautiful part of the country. We enjoyed listening to Greg’s stories about his varied adventures abroad as well as appreciated his skills in the kitchen- providing delicious meals with generous portions.
Daintree Siesta is a cozy accommodations location set among 20 acres of tropical rainforest within the Daintree National Park. Rainforest walking trails are available for guests on the property.
Beautiful location, stunning views. We stayed in large spacious house close to the beach. We took all of our own food as there were excellent kitchen facilities. The beach is stunning. The Daintree area has lots to offer.

Lovely setting surrounded by rainforest. Many shops closed.
Lovely setting surrounded by rainforest. Many shops closed. Weather didn’t help! Cow Bay is no longer the centre as On a previous visit. This has moved to Cape Trib. Many properties for sale throughout the Daintree.

Beautiful tranquil area. We live in Cairns.
Beautiful tranquil area. We live in Cairns. If you wanna get away from it all, good place to go. Good service at the pub, but it was closed on Sunday night just after 7pm so we couldn't get dinner c.js bar and grill and lync haven kitchens were also shut, so maybe bring your own back up meals just in case. I don't know if kitchens were shut this early because it was because it is off peak season a nd quiet but we were disappointed, we were on a little holiday and were looking forward to eating out, lucky we could make do with salad rolls we made back at our accommodation. Over all cow bay is lovely and locals are welcoming.

Diner was great at Crocodylus. Local people were friendly.
Diner was great at Crocodylus. Local people were friendly. Plenty to do and see. Such as walking along the beach. Going to an Ice Cream Factory where the fruit used was from their orchard which where people could roam around and see the fruit trees. Seeing two cassowary in the wild.

We were up early and walking tracks and boardwalks in the area all day. There was plenty of information to read along the walks to help inform and intrigue us about the rainforest. We never felt crowded by other people despite the long holiday weekend.
We had an exceptional meal at WHET cafe at Cape Tribulation. It was the best prepared seafood we had on this trip and the setting was lovely for lunch.

The river cruise on the Daintree with Dan Irby was great.
The river cruise on the Daintree with Dan Irby was great. We did two tours back to back, the afternoon, and twilight tour. Crocodilus is great to eat at for Breakfast and Dinner and go for a drink. PK's kitchen was out of service as it was renovated. The flavours of soursop and jackfruit icecream is a must.
While my stay was short, it was absolutely idyllic. 8 checked in late as I had come off a dive boat so had warned the hotel. Craig was still available and welcomed me to the property, providing all necessary details. The bedding was pristine and room with mozzy net was lovely. I was up early ready to jet on to hikes, etc and Craig took the time to provide recommendations and must-sees. His haste and knowledge were both very much appreciated. My only wish is that my trip did not have to be so abbreviated but c’est la vie.
The location in Cow Bay is amazing. A house amongst the Daintree! The facilities are awesome with all you need to make your stay fun. The great room upstairs is perfect for a get together and excellent WiFi all throughout the house. The open plan and open living brings you close to nature. Clean and tidy. Easy to find. A great spot to relax and unwind or set up base camp. Pictures don't do this justice as to how amazing this house is. Better than Glamping!!
We highly recommend staying at Cow Bay Homestead. The host, the atmosphere, other guests were all really lovely. The location is special, an idyllic getaway as there is no reception nor internet. Marion provided us with a map and gave us lots of information about the various attractions, places to go and things to do. We were able to walk around the lovely grounds too, if only we had the time!!
This is our third stay at Crocodylus, always an enjoyable time, clean, super comfortable beds, love falling asleep to the sounds of wildlife in the rainforest. It is also worth getting up early to go down and watch the sun rise at Cow Bay.
The food served is delicious, definitely recommend the sticky date pudding, best I have ever tasted! Always great getting back into nature, we will be back……
Great location, 5 minute walk to Cow Bay beach, great beach. Close to floravilla & Daintree ice cream. Close to Daintree discovery centre. Close to solar whisperer croc cruise. Close to beautiful Cape Tribulation. Beautiful tropical forest, even saw a male cassawary with a chick on our way back from Cape Trib.
What a great property! So much space, tastefully decorated with beautiful art, appointed with everything you can possibly need, beautiful gardens, and views over the treetops out to Cow Bay. We spent most of our time on the expansive deck taking it all in.
A great repeat visit to this accommodation, we wanted to give our children an experience of switching off from life and it didn't disappoint. The staff were great making us all feel really welcome and being very friendly and helpful with info.
Amazing and quiet place in the heart of the Daintree with great facilities. Beautiful view looking over the mountains and close to walks, beaches, everything you want in the Daintree. Would highly recommend for a romantic getaway!
Great location in Daintree just past the ferry (if you’re new to the area, be sure to google the Daintree ferry so you understand the situation). Very cool in the rainforest and a nice crowd. Also good value for the money.
The ultimate daintree experience! No fancy up market stuff! If you want a genuine daintree rainforest experience, there is no competition! Know what it's like to be a local!
