It was great for eating and drinking - everything from cafes to restaurants. We came to eat fish and were well-pleased. Everything was an easy walk away. There are also 2 local stations and several bus lines with regular services. The ferries across to the Priwall side of the river were covered by the Deutschland Transport Ticket.

We did not have beach weather and were limited to walking. I would have been ok to leave again after 2 nights. If there is no weather for swimming, I find it a bit pointless in Travemünde and tiring to just go on walking excursions. Average age of travellers in Travemünde seems to be rather high. If you want to be among more young people, probably better to head to Timmendorfer Strand, about 5 kms to the North. Travemünde is great for ship-watching though. This Incredible Hotel I mean the design and this absolutely nature mahogany wood. You are welcome in Service and in Design, this is a journey in the lovely past. It`s amazing and it need only one Step. I never sleep so well! The hole Design is one the best things and it is absolutely intact! Modern life pay a high price about smell it called all inclusive.

The character of this old hotel is noticeable from the first but does not come at the expense of the experience of staying there. The welcome was so friendly and the location easy to find and within walking distance of not only the beach area but also the town. Also close to the station allowing for an easy journey to Luebeck. If you open that small window could only see the neighbors. The staff at reception is unfriendly and not willing to help anything.
