The rooms are nicely decorated. The only issues would be a very old TV and the bed, which came out a bit hard with a mattress not having a comfortable upper mattress. Besides that, we enjoyed it, especially the restaurant with both dinner and breakfast was outstanding.

We came to eat fish and were well-pleased.
Everything was an easy walk away. There are also 2 local stations and several bus lines with regular services.
The ferries across to the Priwall side of the river were covered by the Deutschland Transport Ticket.

We did not have beach weather and were limited to walking.
We did not have beach weather and were limited to walking. I would have been ok to leave again after 2 nights. If there is no weather for swimming, I find it a bit pointless in Travemünde and tiring to just go on walking excursions. Average age of travellers in Travemünde seems to be rather high. If you want to be among more young people, probably better to head to Timmendorfer Strand, about 5 kms to the North. Travemünde is great for ship-watching though. Huge ferries to and from Svandinavia and Findland in and out all the time.

We like Travemünde because it is the closest access to seaside from Hamburg. It has beach, harbour, plenty of restaurants and hotels. Apart from the seaside, there are few special sites, so we think that 1-2 days are enough to explore the place.

Loved visiting Gosch of Sylt... excellent price/value, very conscientious about Corona hygiene.
Great walk past the dog beach to Hermannshöhe if you can do it in the early part of the am (otherwise crowded with bicyclists).

This Incredible Hotel I mean the design and this absolutely nature mahogany wood.
You are welcome in Service and in Design, this is a journey in the lovely past. It`s amazing and it need only one Step. I never sleep so well! The hole Design is one the best things and it is absolutely intact!
Modern life pay a high price about smell it called all inclusive.
I had a newly renovated single that was a perfect design for comfort and facilities. The character of this old hotel is noticeable from the first but does not come at the expense of the experience of staying there. The welcome was so friendly and the location easy to find and within walking distance of not only the beach area but also the town. Also close to the station allowing for an easy journey to Luebeck. The stay was really relaxing and the honesty bar appreciated.
The whole hotel has only the restaurant and bar are facing to the see. The rooms are small and toward sides. If you open that small window could only see the neighbors.
The staff at reception is unfriendly and not willing to help anything. We forgot the charging cable at home, his advice was we must drive back and the whole Travemünde has no Type C cable.
It’s the 2nd time we come to this wonderful hotel. We had the family room, and it was really nice and cosy. Lots of atmosphere, decorated with heart and passion. The host is very friendly and welcoming, giving lots of advices, even for a short stay like we did. Next time longer ;)
Great location, on the strand, close to shops and restaurants. Very close to the train station.
Wonderful breakfast in beautiful room or veranda.
Quiet room at the back of the hotel.
Good shower, good linens, good night!
Secure place to park the bicycles.
The bathroom and the showers were excellent and the room was also great. The staff were friendly and helpful and the harbour view was beautiful.we will definitely come back and tell family and friends in Norway of this nice hotel.
Fantastic view at the ferry boats passing by. The sauna area is cosy. The hotel is located in a footwalk distance to the shore. The location offers lots of possibilities in leisure activities.
The rooms have their own steam bath which is an excellent facility.
Since you need a ferry to go to the location, the facility has its own restaurants and bars. That is also very nice.
It’s a short 5 min drive from Travemunde ferry terminal. Good one night stay - choice if your ferry arrives late, like ours. The rooms were very basic, but spotlessly clean.
