The last time I stayed in Bunbeg was 12 years ago and it has become very run down with quite a few places closed but this would also be impacted by the restrictions etc due to Covid. It's fine if you want to get away from it all.

This region has stunning coastal scenery and inland the rocky moorland is a great walking area.
Be prepared for bad weather. It is not called the “Wild Atlantic Coast” for nothing.
The Donegal airport has been voted the most scenic landing approach in the world.

First, you need a car! The beaches and scenery are spectacular and uncrowded. The people are friendly and welcoming. Within a 15 mile radius there are some great eating establishments. Generally pubs with great craic and music. Love the area.

The bedroom plenty of room and a see view.Clean and tidy and you can make a cuppa.Sea view bedrooms and the beaches very close. We would stay again we had relatives to visit a very nice hotel no problem for anything you ask for great food what more could could you ask for.
This was a great place to stay, nestled in Bunbeg Harbour. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. There were no restaurants nearby but they did offer to drive us (we walked about 20 minutes). We had a very special evening of music at a nearby pub (10 minutes away), ‘Teach Hiudi Beag’ that was the highlight of our bicycle tour through Ireland (5 1/2 weeks). Check it out if you are in the area; they play Monday and Friday.
The location was a great first stop after landing at the Donegal airport. The hosts were so kind, and we were offered tea and biscuits on arrival in the afternoon. Breakfast is delicious, everyone went out of the way to make sure you're well fed. It's walking distance to Teac Huidai Beag where we went for the Monday night trad session. This was a highlight of our whole trip for sure.
Delighted that I found this little gem. Great location close to several different beaches and places to explore, with a fabulous view. A neat little lodge with all the essentials. Great kitchen facilities so was really perfect for us with a toddler. Really good communication from the owner and some perfect essentials available when we got there which was very thoughtful.
We spent four nights at Hazel View Apartment and we were overwhelmed by the size, outfit and hospitality from Angela. We felt like home. Kitchen was equipped perfectly and there was plenty of information and tipps for tours and restaurants. We enjoyed the quit. Good location for touring Donegal.
Unfortunately we can’t give more than 10 points.
Great place to stay in Bunbeg. The house is worth a visit in itself and the room has everything you need as well, including a fantastic view to the sea. Also, could not have been treated better by the family running the guesthouse. They did everything and more to help us and make us feel at home while visiting this nice little town.
The location is lovely, situated right on the harbour a minutes drive from Bunbeg village. Beautiful sunset in Bunbeg. The room and hotel is a bit dated (wouldnt turn me off), the food and service was excellent. Had dinner in "Leos", home to Clannad which was lovely in these Covid times.
The breakfast was perfect with great variety of cereal, breads, fruit and drinks. And Anne, the lady of the house, was so helpful and welcoming.
The location was amazing - a small secluded fishing harbour - so peaceful and tranquill!
I've been staying at Teach Campbell for many years now and it is always a wonderful, homey place to rest after a day of hiking Mt. Errigal or exploring all that Donegal has to offer. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
Absolutely lovely and homely apartment, everything you could ever need is there, beautiful sea view and can see planes coming and frowing from Donegal airport, highly recommend, beautiful beaches near by
Beds were so comfy, the sheets were so soft. the hotel was so homely. the location was beautiful and the view of the harbour was fabulous. breakfast was a simple and hearty full irish, it was lovely.
The staff was very personable, the bar/restaurant was warm, cozy, personable. The location overlooked the city and water. Wonderful to find this amazing place in a special part of Ireland.
I like the location right on the water and the proximity to pubs in Gweedore. The breakfast room was also quite nice, with a view of the water. There was also a bar in the evening.
The location of the Old Boathouse was perfect! Beautiful views out over the harbour and within walking distance of local bar and cafe with delicious food.
