It's an amazing hotel sited on top of a hill overlooking on one side Lake Toya and on the, a bay being part of Sea of Japan and one has a 360° view of the entire valley lake and mountains including of Mt Yotei in the distance. Its also a beautiful n lavishly appointed hotel and one of its many claims to fame is being the site of a G8 Summit hotel in 2008. It has many lovely restaurants, a great onsen plus a nice golf course to boot. Locals regard this hotel as Hokkaido's most prestigious hotel, and one can fully understand once you stay there. The staff are so professional and courteous fm the doorman to everyone you come into contact as they all seem so conscious they have a very high reputation to maintain as The Top hotel in the region. A Must Return to hotel.

Room was spacious and view was good.
Opposite there was a convenience store but most shops close around 5-6pm like a ghost town.

Didn’t like it in late February. The only thing to do is go to the onsen, some of the hotels will grant you access for a small fee if you’re not staying there.
There is a boat tour (looks like a princess castle, sort of weird), pricey and so so boring, they don’t even go all around the lake and it doesn’t stop for you to step on the islands.
Overall, very sad town in February.

Taking a slow stroll along the lakeside with cooling breeze blowing towards you is refreshing and makes you feel so free.
A must visit to Mount Usu taking the cable car and walking along the Ropeway is scenic.
A short drive of about 10 minutes from Lake Toya there is a Little Farm that serves very good ice cream, coffee and pizza. Children loves the goats in this farm land.

Beautiful and scenic but you are not allowed to swim in the lake because it is a Unesco site. I was unable to Google this info so I'm sharing it here. It is 90 degrees here today so that sucks. They don't mind you dipping your feet but there are no swimming beaches. You can get wet if you are boating or on SUPboard. I probably would’ve toured another part of the country if I knew I couldn’t swim in the lake in the middle of an extremely hot summer. the south of like Toya is filled with Asian tourists. We enjoyed the quiet north side.

It was nice generally.
It was nice generally. It offers a great view if the weather is clear and not foggy. We were there on 30/12/23 it was winter, weather was cloudy foggy and snowing and we can’t see much. Anyway we enjoy strolling along the lake side with snowfall, feels so peaceful, romantic and beautiful. We went to Mt Usu by using the ropeway. We was at the crater unfortunately it was covered with a thick snow so we didn’t get what we want to see. If I happen to travel to Lake Toya again, I would like to try hiking.
free parking, good location, good views, quiet in winter, room size for 3 adequate comfortable, tatami floor and beds, clear instructions on how to use the onsen, great service overall, onsen is perfect , there is an outdoor onsen and indoor area. the food breakfast and dinner served was great . it is not as classy as the newer hotels but it is more traditional and that is what we wanted. check in and check out was fast. there is lift facility. well maintained and warm even tho its winter and 1deg celsius
A family of 5 stayed here in February, this is the first time we stayed in this hotel. Although my booking is not included dinner, I pay for each guest 5000yen for dinner buffet and the buffet is outstanding! Polite staff and a beautiful dining hall , most of the food is surprisingly delicious! Onsen area is super clean and enjoyable! After hot springs can buy a bottle of cold milk at the changing area and it is really soothing!! 8.30pm have a fireworks event, it makes the night perfect.
Stayed four nights with dinner and breakfast. The setting is fantastic, right on the lake. Floor to ceiling windows in the room and throughout the hotel. Wonderful large bath, including nice outdoor one on the roof. Really nice hotel onsen. Fireworks every night right in front of the hotel. Food was very good. Even though a buffet, several dishes were excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lake Toya is a wonderful place to get away and relax. Will definitely return!
The most luxurious place, among the 4 hotels we stayed in Hokkaido. Spacious room, friendly welcoming staff. Met a couple of staff from Myanmar who speak good English. A new hotel, opened just about 6 months ago. The inroom onsen was great. Convenient location to Lake Toya sights. The whole hotel is an art gallery. Very tastefully decorated. The Tannoy speakers in the lounge are something to listen to. The live harpist performance was very good.
The location is good: it's really close the 桜町 (Sakura machi) bus stop, there is a convinient store 2 min from the guest house and it takes ~3-4 minutes to get to the lake Toya and Nakajima islands. There are many hotels around offering hot springs services.
The staff was really nice and friendly! The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Overall, I would stay here again if I got the chance to come to the Toya lake! :)
Simple, everything you need at your disposal. Tatami mattresses were comfortable. Clean and efficient! Were convenient, close to the train station. Easy to get to Toyakoonsen by bus from here. We hiked to Mt. Usu from here (take the bus to Usu) and took the ropeway down to Toyakoonsen afterwards, were we enjoyed a day spa in an onsen hotel.
It's a very clean and modern place, perfect if you don't want to go in the fancy and pricy hotels in Toyako Onsen. The owner is really friendly and even if you don't speak Japanese, you can still figure it out easily at this place. There's a restaurant where you can eat on the 1st floor on you order on a machine. Very practical.
Stayed 2 nights here and the staff were realllly nice!
Read the reviews about the good food so we had our dinner in the component and it’s truly a delight! Every dish was amazing!
The accommodation is huge and had the most amazing view of lake Toya! Everything also had a rustic vibe to it as the whole place is made of wood
The room was dated but comfortable. There is a nice balcony facing Lake Toya and it was nice to be able to sit next to the lake and have a leisure sip of tea.
The breakfast is decent with good variety of food.
The onsen was larger than I thought - has indoor and outdoor pool. Also have different temperatures.
This is 100-300 meters from lake shore, excellent lake view. Onsen is another plus here, there are cave style, hot and cold style, grand bath and even sauna. Traditional Japanese breakfast was another treat to your senses. Staffs are also responsive.
Location, directly facing Lake Toya. Good onsen. The staff took extra miles to explain the ingredients for each dish as precaution for my partner’s food allergy. Thank you so much especially to Mr Ohsuga !
Private onsen for JPY3300 (first come first served) is a superb deal and highly recommended. Public onsen are not bad either. Excellent choice of food at the buffet. Great view of Lake Toya, good for walks.
