Featuring a terrace, a restaurant as well as a bar, Timbre Virtudes is located in the centre of Porto, 600 metres from Palacio da Bolsa. The Hotel das Virtudes was the most unique hotel we stayed in during our Portugal trip. The restoration of the hotel is impressive. The breakfast was the best of our Portugal trip. We ate 1 night in the hotel restaurant and the staff and chef were fantastic. The hotel was within walking distance to great restaurants, port tasting, attractions and the river. We watched the sun set from the rooftop bar; beautiful.

Located in Porto, less than 1 km from Sao Bento Metro Station, Vincci Bonjardim provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Everything was perfect, amazing details everywhere, people everytime ready to help and smile. Good and huge breakfast, near most important metro station Trindade to get the Airport. Every point of interest is close walking. I felt so happy to have been in that wonderful place and I would come back again whenever necessary.

Set in Nelas, 15 km from Mangualde Live Artificial Beach, Puro Dão Hotel & Spa offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Gorgeous spa hotel in the Dao wine region. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms with a natural, Zen-like decor and ambiance. Spa facilities are very nice and welcoming there are many services offered. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights. Elevated Portuguese cuisine well prepared and served. Excellent wine list and the servers are able to suggest the perfect pairing for your meal. Nelas is a small quiet town about an hour’s drive to the Serra da Estrela. Perfect place to stay to relax and enjoy nature. Lovely staff.

Well set in Porto, Ribeira Douro Hotel features 2-star accommodation close to Palacio da Bolsa and Ferreira Borges Market. This was our favourite hotel so far on our trip. Location a few steps to the River or a short walk to the historic centre of town was perfect. And yet the rooms were super quiet. Breakfast was included and was extensive and varied every day. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We highly recommend!

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Holiday Inn Express Évora by IHG is situated in Évora, less than 1 km from Cathedral of Evora Se and a 8-minute walk from Roman Temple of Evora. This was the best hotel during our 8-day trip to Portugal. We traveled in the off-season—March—when the weather wasn’t great; it rained often, and the temperature was mild. This was the only hotel that was warm upon arrival (in all the others, we had to turn on heaters, which took about 1.5 to 2 hours to warm up the rooms). They have real blankets—warm and puffy—not just thin sheets. Breakfast was available from 7 AM, which was fantastic since we had a 2-hour time difference, and by 8 AM, I was starving! The views from the windows were stunning, overlooking the aqueduct and old city walls. It’s just a short walk to the old town. I loved the modern, simple design and the tea and coffee facilities. I would definitely stay here again!

Located in Ericeira, within 29 km of Quinta da Regaleira and 29 km of Sintra National Palace, Praia FLH Hotels Ericeira offers accommodation with free WiFi throughout the property. Ioved the interior design of the hotel so much! In addition, it was the comfiest bed I have had in a long time. The breakfast was great. They also has complimentary tea, coffee, and sweets throughout the day. The staff was really friendly and the location superb right in the center.
