Nice room, great to actually check-in at a reception desk after staying in apartments with access by electronic messaging. Really great breakfast.

Seemingly a recently built hotel with excellent facilities for the price. Staff were very professional especially Guilherme who sorted out a reservation hiccup very well.
Excellent buffet breakfast

Architecturally speaking, a great hotel.
Other than the helpful and kind front desk staff, that's where the kudos finish.
Indeed, the rooms are tired, the carpets are stained and ragged, and the gorgeous 80s designed woodwork for which this hotel was cutting edge is marked, water stained, and in need of a coat of varnish.
The public hallways reek of air freshener, not in a good way, and the floor lighting is full of dust and cobwebs. Would it kill them to clean them once in 20 years?
The beds were comfortable, the balconies are spacious, but those damn mint green carpets!
Enough about that. Any hotel that serves pancakes from a machine after having Michelin Stars pasted in the front lobby deserves scathing reviews. The breakfast was grim, the boiled egg yolks were black and they were cheap with pretty much...everything.
Even though the buffet breakfast room was busy, there was not enough food, or it was cold and stale.
In general, this hotel needs some good management, because the clientele who stay there seem to arrive in high end cars. Good luck.
This beautiful and charming hotel is harmoniously integrated into the surrounding natural landscape, offering comfortable, modern accommodation off the beaten track.

The room was quaint and spotless, in a beautiful old building with lovely bright artwork on the walls, an ornate stairwell, lovely host who gave us all the information we needed about the metro, restaurants, shops, etc. The location was perfect, 5 minutes to the metro, 5 minutes to little supermarkets, 10 minutes down to the beautiful beach, warm and close to a beautiful big cathedral-type church.

Ideal place for stay in bigger group. Lots of space and entertainment features. Very good for kids with wide spaces for play. The fact that the owner owns the hair dressing salon just on the ground floor, ideal if you are planning to attend any event like a wedding.

Vila do Condo upon first sight looks nice. It’s on the river and the square with the flowers is really nice. Once you go out of the square and into the town you see that it is very run down and unkept. The local youths didn’t take kindly to our accompanying teenage football team and on one evening chased a group of them out of town threatening violence towards them. This is one location I will not return to

Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast.
Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast. Easy to get to from Porto on the Metro. We also had a day out to Povoa de Varzim on the metro which is just a couple of stops away.
Vila do Conde has a few interesting museums relating to its history and development. Lots of opportunities to walk, a number of beaches and plenty of restaurants and bars, a great place for a short break in the sunshine.

The places we liked most in Vila do Conde were: a) the top of the hill with an old monastery and the 16th century aqueduct (2nd longest in Portugal), with a great view of the historic center; b) a truly wonderful restaurant -- REPUBLICA -- at 83 Praca da Republica, both food and service were great, and the interior is very pleasant; and c) within a 3-minute walk from the restaurant the Naval Construction Museum and a replica of a ship outside from the Age of Discoveries.

This is more of a guest house .
This is more of a guest house . It is above a bistro, There was no breakfast and when bistro was closed no one to provide assistance. The location is excellent across the street from the river with access to walk to shore. Staff was friendly and helpful when available. We chose it as it is on the coast north of Porto and close to the airport. Room and bed were small, but comfortable. We stayed only one night so it met our needs. Interesting town to explore.

Great little town, seems to have a lot to offer if you like quiet little towns. Not too built up, nice small town feel to it. We didn't have time to explore much - yet - but will definitely come back
We were greeted by a very friendly host, Helena, who was also in charge of preparing the breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious, enough electrical outlets (the most of all rooms on our trip), a bit old fashioned bedding, hard mattress as common in Portugal. We liked the breakfast room, and good selection of food. The hotel is situated conveniently to OPO airport, still quiet and has a touch of country athmosphere
The hotel was so historic. The host/owner had so much information on the place. You could tell he was very proud of the work that had been done on the place. We chose to have supper there. Paulo was our waiter and he was pleasant, kind and easy to communicate with. We are not fluent in Portuguese although we tried hard, he spoke good English and so that made it easy. The surroundings were beautiful.
Sonia is a brilliant hostess, and went out of her way to make my stay as nice as possible. the hotel is basically brand new and in excellent condition. my room was very comfortable and cleaned to perfection. the big rooftop terrace and shared kitchen were great for relaxation. i was very impressed. ...the room looked out onto the main street, but it had basically no traffic.
This is a beautiful little hotel with charming atmosphere! If you like design, you will love it! Our room was spacious, absolutely clean and well equiped. Fantastic breakfast in the dining room watching a garden - you can also sit there in evening, enjoying your free time. Everything is nearby - city centre, shops, restaurants and taxis - but night is quiet. Really perfect!
The owner and his family are amazing people that went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome in their hotel. The owner went above and beyond in his efforts and even sat with me while I enjoyed a bottle of wine. The food here is exceptional and should not be missed! A GREAT stay if walking the Camino.
This gorgeous farmhouse was just over 1km off the Camino, but worth every step. Gorgeous grounds, terrific staff, delicious food, comfy bed, clean bathroom. It will always be my first stop out of Porto when I Camino!
Beautiful room. The staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel is family owned and started in 1911. The bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet. It was a very nice two night stay. Highly recommend.
