Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely little town. It was off season (March) but there were still some great restaurants open - would highly recommend Odesos, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The surrounding area and coastal hikes are stunning!

Great restaurants; fantastic views; relaxed atmosphere. The resort however, seems to close down around 2200,. Getting a drink after this time is difficult. That said Im informed its livlier in July / August.

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for peace and quiet. There are some tourists but the town is really small with limited accommodation capacity, so the number of people is not overwhelming. Also, a lot of Portuguese spend their holidays there. There’s a few restaurants to choose from, all quite good. Zambujeira do Mar is a small town, so everything is within a short walk distance. I think there’s no ATM there so it’s good to have some cash (if you like to have it with you).

Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August.

Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August. The village is an overnight stay on the Rota Vicentina, Portugal's long-distance coastal footpath, so there are good walking opportunities. On the two nights we were there we ate at Restaurante Rita. The food is good, but its main attraction is the great view of the stunning sunsets. Pretty well everything in the village is within walking distance so find a place to park your car and leave it there! Non-Portuguese should be aware that this is the Atlantic coast. The sea is cold!

In mid June (2019) the town was still very quiet, though most of the restaurants were open for business. When I went to the beach at 10 am i was literally the only person on the beach, despite it being a cloudless sky and warm sunshine. Most of the other visitors to the town seemed to be hikers walking the "Fishermen's Trail". I only had time for one meal, but I am very happy with my choice. The restaurant called Sol Dourado, Rua da Palmeira, Lote 43. Try the Sopa de Cação (€13.50) - a large serving, probably enough for two people.

I love love love this beach, family like, not too crowded (at least in June). Azul i Mar restaurant is the most affordable and has great fried fish & rice menu for 8€ only! Cantinho de Sabor is great also for coffees and WiFi

It is isolated but still very near the incredible beaches of the Costa Alentejana and other facilities. The staff was very nice, not intrusive at all and very respectful of our privacy (they even checked the best hour to clean the apartment). They brought fresh bread every morning, very much appreciated. It was very clean and well decorated, and had everything we needed. Very quiet and peaceful location in a beautiful region. It is perfect to spend some relaxing days.

Very neat and clean. Very personal approach (I got a little tour of the nearby cliffs and some roasted chestnuts, who knows what you'll get if you're polite with the owner?). Washing machine and tumbler dryer available which is super useful after a few days of hiking. Got a heater in the private room. PROPER BATH TUB (shared of course). Nice and clean shared kitchen with a variety of pots/pans. Also got a glass of local wine to try - very tasty.

Absolute surprise. We were just killing time and looking for a convenient location as we were on the road. It was an absolutely beautiful property set on a working farm, secluded but close to town and utterly quiet. We weren't prepared for the beauty of the place and the comfort of the room, or the full breakfast with any option you could imagine. The staff was remarkably friendly, as I should say everyone we talked with in Portugal.

We had initially booked a smaller room but the host was nice to upgrade us to a bigger one with a balcony and more sunlight. The room was quite spacious and the bathroom also. It had TV with many channels, a mini fridge and a kettle. This place is very central near the restaurants/cafes/supermarket and beach but on a quiet street. It's a nice place to rest after hiking if you are doing Rota Vicentina.

The team at this hotel were amazing! Extremely friendly, hospitable and really lovely people. It made the stay even more the better than it already was. Shame our travel plans limited us to only a night's stay. The environment is so open and we stayed in the stables converted into rooms so that was beautiful!

Very clean; nice to have toiletries provided; outside window; really nice big shared terrace with loungers, small tables/chairs for two, and a nice sofa/chair sitting area. The room and facility were clean and tidy. The location is great, right off the Fishermen's Trail and close to restaurants and shops. We stayed for one night during a hike on the Fishermen's Trail and it provided a nice rest stop. The breakfast was excellent. We would stay again.

So far, the best accomodation we had at Portugal. Very climatic and interesting interiors. Lovely and super polite guest service. Awesome kitchen with free coffee and some regional wine to try some. It's a pity we were here only one day.
