We stayed here overnight while traveling south from San Francisco. The location, and the pool access are very nice, and the apartment was much more spacious than we expected. Everything was clean and the kitchen was equipped well-enough to cook for a family. There are also some shops and restaurants in walking distance.

I went to Aptos for one night to attend an anniversary party. I have visited the area several times and never found it very appealing as it is very crowded, traffic can be horrendous, and the public beaches that are easily accessible are not very beautiful. I much prefer Monterey or Half Moon Bay or Northern California area beaches for scenic beauty. The party was held at Bittersweet Bistro in Aptos, however, which is a restaurant I do highly recommend if you go to Aptos, the food was wonderful!JodyUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0
Beautiful grounds and beach.
Beautiful grounds and beach. Fresh, clean and well decorated and appointed room. Ocean view is spectacular. We didn’t use them although the resort has 3 pools and several outdoor fire pits. Shore birds galore. Soothing sound of the surf from our patio. Warm fireplace in the room added to its appeal. Kitchen went unused although it is well appointed including glasses, tableware, and utensils. Kitchen table seats four.

I liked Aptos.
I liked Aptos. There are some good restaurants and the people when I went to town were observing the correct protocol . The Swallow is a great dinner restaurant. When I return I'll be looking for a great place to stay...Alida - 10Scored 10
Aptos is a nice location to vacation or spend a weekend.
Aptos is a nice location to vacation or spend a weekend. The beaches are nice with lifeguards in many locations. The weather was perfect during our recent visit. The restaurants were very busy and we were unable to get a reservation for dinner on Friday night. I attributed that to Covid restrictions on the number of guests allowed. Due to the popularity of this area, the traffic can be quite heavy at times. All things considered, it is still one of our favorite areas to visit.

Aptos is just fine. Just don't use Booking.com. Booking.com overpriced the stay for a substandard accomodations. Avoid Booking.com at any cost. It seems there are many rentals available in Capitola near the water.

My family and I stay in Santa Cruz a lot for the kids. We decided to give aptos a try since it’s a short drive to the boardwalk. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Very clean rooms the staff were great. The restaurant Severinos was the winner. Great food and our waiter Cavan saw my family multiple times a day dining in. Cavan was great and made our visits outstanding. The pool was clean and a good size for families. All said this will be our main hotel when we go visit Santa Cruz now. Not crowded, plenty of parking, great staff and very good rates.HermanUnited States
