Amazing location, very close to the entrance to Mount Rainier Park. Available parking. Room was great, very well decorated and very comfortable, fireplace and heating was on for our arrival. Information regarding the park and trails available. Outdoor firepit and jacuzzi available, even though we didn't use them. Nice environment surrounded by nature.

The property is located in a great place with easy access to the main road but in a serene place in the woods. The second bedroom is in the attic which has a narrow ladder which is a little difficult to climb through.
The cabins are located a few feet from the gates of Mount Rainier National Park. Entrance is visible from the property. The main inn has an on-site store and souvenir shop.

The location was amazing. You could see the national park sign from the parking lot.
Ashford was great! If you want to take your dog hiking find a place outside mt rainier, no dogs allowed. There is a nice hike very close to juniper cabin. It's very easy and very nice. Must walk there. There is no parking.

The property was perfect, only a few miles away from the entrance to a great national park. Since you have a limited selection of restaurants and grocery stores, it offers you the opportunity to cook in. Would definitely recommend it to others.

The house is very spacious. I went with my family - 2 Adults and 2 Children. House can accommodate at least 6 people. Cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. Kitchen fully equipped. Attention to detail. Great location. Hot tub is a plus!

The local restaurants are great, especially the Wild Berry, the sherpa food one. The woman who ran Alexander's Lodge was awesome, she went over and beyond trying to make people happy. Very pretty setting, nice rooms and the sitting room was extra room to spread out. I would go back!

Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay
Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay
Ashford is a service town for Mount Rainier National Park. Strung out along Highway 706 for the last few miles before the entrance, it's great for mountaineers and tourists. I ate at the Wild Berry Cafe, owned and operated by Sherpa immigrants who bring their food and culture to this tiny, rural corner of Washington State.
The Gateway Inn, adjacent to the Nisqually Gate of the Park, is a comfortable older hotel. It's a perfect basecamp for a short stay or as the beginning or ending overnight spot for your adventure. I stayed in one of the older cabins, warm and cozy, on my recent overnight business trip. It worked perfectly as I celebrated a couple's sunrise wedding in the park!

Very close to the National Park.
Very close to the National Park. Great place to stay if you're going to the Paradise area of Mount Rainier. We ate at the Copper Creek Inn Restaurant, It was decent. The cider we got there in the gift area was very good.
Key's in lock-box at gate to property with combo provided by host. When I booked lodging I indicated 2 adults; but upon realizing my error I contacted host to clarify that 4 adults would be staying. Host indicated no problem and that he would contact his people to make sure home was ready for 4 adults. Location was the reason for renting this property as it is only 5 miles from SW entry to Mt. Rainier NP.
We enjoyed our stay at the Stormking Hotel. Lovely cabin located in a secluded area near the park entrance and Ashford where there are a few restaurants. The cabin is very clean and bed very comfortable. The private hot tub on the porch was greatly appreciated after the strenuous hike in the park. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Wonderful setting, quite near the park. Very Instagramable outside. Nice wood stove with wood. Felt very cozy from the rainstorm we were sheltering from. We were there in the wrong season but the backyard would be an amazing hang out spot in nicer weather. Nice welcome pack of pancake mix!
The room was warm and ready for us when we came in after 1am. The heated floors in the bathroom are a spectacular touch that I really appreciated. There were also beautiful glass coffee cups that were a nice touch instead of the the normal paper cups you see in hotels.
Location was amazing, staff friendly. Easy to find, parking was plentiful. Right near the entrance of the Rainier park. Very large rooms with full size fridge. Little store connected with a few drinks, some snacks and essential.
This location was large, easy to check in and near Mt. Ranier. The host had great communication and was flexible. The house had everything you could need and we had a nice visit.
The location near Mt Rainier is excellent. The lodge was great about sending emails prior to arrival regarding breakfast. The property is so unique and fun to explore.
