Evanston is really pretty and a great place to stay if you want to visit Chicago without staying downtown. Some great restaurants in the area and the Northwestern campus offers some great lakeshore views of the Chicago skyline.

Room was dark and dated.
Room was dark and dated. No coffee machine in room (just hot water pot and instant coffee) and no fresh coffee in lobby either! Restaurant was freezing with A/C and uncomfortable to eat there.
Poor access to outlets in room. Only plus was the shower!

Evanston is a lovely community.
Evanston is a lovely community. A combination of old, stately homes and lively university setting. It is a pretty city that sits on the shores of Lake Michigan and offers a variety of interesting things to see. Many multi-ethnic restaurants. Easy to get around.

I have family in the area , thinking of renting the entire place for a weekend in the future to accommodate 4 families. It's local is walkable and near shopping and NW in addition to a great facility.
I appreciated that Evanston provided a slightly smaller feel than the rest of the city. The hotel is super large and my room had a really cool view. I had gotten stuck in traffic and couldn't make it until well after Midnight and they had no issues accommodating me. The staff was incredibly respectful and helpful. Overall, I think it was one of the nicest and highest valued hotels that I have stayed in within the Chicago area.
Omelets were excellent. The potatoes were cold. The hotel location was excellent. The room was neat/nice. There was an African American gentleman who was very personable. He seemed to be doing everything at the hotel-with a smile on his face: desk person, bartender, valet. I was surprised he was not the chef as well. Most other personnel simply did not exert the same positive vibe.
1. this is my 5th time here - and the best stay yet. management, cleaning - all much more “ready” for anticipating guest exoerience
2. by far - the nicest room, I’ve had yet. wish I’d had this one when my adult kids were also visiting
3. bar and restaurant are good options for weary travel let’s. otherwise, easy walk to Evanston great restaurants and Whole Foods for picnics
Convenient hotel close to the center of Evanstone. Facilities are reasonably ok, reception staff is helpful. Room are large and clean, temperature is easy to control, and bed is of good quality. Complimentary toiletry is provided including body lotion that in winter is very appreciated. The express cooked breakfast is acceptable.
Clean , comfortable room, nice view, on eighth floor looking at downtown Evanston. Keurig coffee in room was nice, a little hard to figure out at first. Bed was comfortable, comfy pillows, quality sheets. Bathroom fine, a little small. TV ok , has Direct TV which isn't the best but ok
Breakfast was outstanding! Room was huge, comfortable, and quiet. we were close to the L and Metra so getting to anddfrom Cicago was a conch. close to the lake, Northwestern, and all of the delicious dining Evanston has to offer. Fantastic!
We loved the staff -- especially Sophia, who was so warm and fun. And the location was perfect as the event we were attending was a reunion at Northwestern. The restaurant that's connected to the hotel serves a next level burger, too.
This is a very basic hotel. No bar, no restaurant, although there is a separate restaurant next door. No room service. But rooms are nice, comfortable, extremely clean. Most importantly, it is a block from Northwestern University.
The hotel was so beautiful. Loved the wood smell and carpeted floors in the lobby and in the rooms. The bar was amazing and special credits to the bartender, Jarell who made some exceptional drinks and provided great service
Peaceful place by the lake Michigan, hour drive with metro to Downtown Chicago. Nice hotel, beautiful room, great bed, really lovely place to be. Evanston is very safe and beautiful town with everything tourist would need.
Good location in Evanston. Close to UPN Davis Street stop and CTA Davis Street stop to get into Chicago. Not too long of a walk to Northwestern University. Staff were helpful. Beds very comfortable!
The room was spacious and worked well for us. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was very close to the Baha'i Temple and to other sites in Evanston. The breakfast was great.
