Located 15 minutes' drive from Sutherland, Rogge Cloof is a biosphere reserve in the Karoo region that offers self-catering as well as all inclusive accommodation. We loved absolutely everything. Was a wonderful stay.

We especially liked the windows screens and overhead fans and these together with the thick stone walls kept us cool in the heat of the day. The hostess was lovely and welcomed us warmly. The breakfasts, dinners and drinks were wonderful. We are already planning our next visit.

Die Lemoenhuis, featuring barbecue facilities and a garden, is located in Calvinia, 600 metres from Calvinia Museum and 3.3 km from Akkerendam Nature Reserve. Liz, Francois and the dogs were so welcoming! The cottage is beautiful, spacious, bright and nicely decorated. It is lovely and warm and the gas heater and electric blankets were great touches. Wifi works well and just a fantastic place to stay. Highly reccommend staying here:)
