Very friendly hostess who made us feel welcome and comfortable. The communication is great. We are able to use the side kitchen to make and eat some simple meal. The property is a farm house that renovated for B&B. Feel like a cottage with big back yard in the country side. The room is spacious. Shower water is good. On site parking in the front yard. The breakfast is decent.

Marie & Frederick were the most warm and accommodating hosts. The home and grounds are in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting. Bellac is a charming town just 10 minutes away with all amenities. We loved our stay and will return soon.

Small village / town, lovely church to visit, the pub, Le Pont de la Pierre, by the river is a must visit as such a lovely setting and well worth the walk.
The Restaurant Le Palais nice setting but we got overcharged and will not be frequenting this place on our future visits.
The restaurant Le Cheval Blanc offered a set menu and it was fastfood with à la carte prices.
Le Central Bar was good for drinks. Gets busy with visitors, ex-pats and local residents.
Bellac itself is pretty quiet and a car is a must, lot of interesting beautiful places to visit in the nearby surroundings.

Mixed bag. Really handy location.
Mixed bag. Really handy location. Usual problem of finding an evening meal out of season, but our hosts directed to the Cafe du Commerce. Pleasant atmosphere, only thing to eat were Pizzas. We love Pizzas in France as generally there are a pretty decent version of the real thing - not the abominations that have crept in over the years from USA! The Pizzas we had in Cafe du C were outstanding, probably the very best we've had anywhere in France. Two reasons to re-visit Bellac; outstanding Chambres d'Hotes and Pizzas.
This apartment was nicely decorated in a quirky style and had most things needed for a two night stay. The host was helpful beforehand, providing directions to find the building (useful as it didn't come up on our GPS) and instructions for entering and off-road parking, then later for operating the TV. The apartment is well-located, a short walking distance from the centre of Bellac.
The suite was spotlessly clean and well equipped and the owner had provided all the information we needed to help us find parking nearby, access the building, use the WiFi etc. The building is next to an excellent boulangerie and a short walk from all the shops and restaurants in Bellac, yet it is a lovely, tranquil location. Great value for money too.
Good breakfast and value for money. We very much enjoyed the unique quality of this charming property. Well placed in the town and all amenities, unfortunately we were on a tight schedule so unable to explore properly. Our room at the rear of the hotel enjoyed an amazing view over the town and river below. In all a calm and relaxed stay.
I returned to Les Suites while my new house was having repairs. I have visited Bellac for years and this is the first guest house that meets my needs - safe, full of character, decent Wifi, cleaned with ecological products, comfy bed, and an approchable owner. Oh - and next door to my favourite bakery/diner!
Thank you Sonya. The property was even better than in the photos. We were talking on the phone when we entered the property and I said "oh la la, très jolie, mieux que les photos".
Absolutely such a lovely house, tranquil location, close to Bellac. A lot better than the local hotels.
Highly recommended.
We arrived to a very warm and friendly welcome and found Maison Bellachonne charming and characterful. Everything about our room was totally to our liking. The breakfast was fabulous with no effort spared. Well done!
Lovely large room and comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast. Close to everything in the town centre. Was a little noisy on the road outside but that’s what you get in a town centre hotel.
