A wonderful apartment. I arrived on my bke trip a bit earlier and the owner made sure that I had access to the apartment a couple hours before the regular check-in. The apartment is spacious, well designed, and centrally located. A litle tarte n the fridge was a nice surprise. The apartment is also very quet. I can highly recommend staying there.

A beautiful little town, with a fabulous historic Chateau.
A beautiful little town, with a fabulous historic Chateau. You can download a self guided tour map and look around the chateau for free, 7 days a week, or for 3 euros have a guided tour.
It is a good base for walking and cycling in the surrounding areas and the tram service provides a regular service into Nantes

We liked the location of the hotel, but found it a little soulless. The staff were very polite but did not interact. Chateaubriant itself was disappointing because so much of the town shops, services and restaurant were either closed or on limited opening. Arriving on a Sunday mid-afternoon the place was deserted and the only eating options were McDonalds or Dominos, neither of which we would contemplate.

There are many shops permanently closed and during August many others are closed for annual holidays which gave the town a run down feel. There were tourists wandering around aimlessly trying to find something to do and somewhere to eat. Obviously not a tourist friendly town.

one of the least interesting places my family and I stopped on our two week cycling tour of Brittany, would have been better heading straight to Rennes from Nantes missing Châteaubriant completely out.

The room was lovely and had great AC, lovely view of the garden below, good bathroom and products. The food in the evening was amazing, although it was closed our first night there due to a private function. Plenty of parking too .
Location is superb, on a quiet street in the center of town. just around the corner is an excellent bakery for picking up fresh bread and pain au chocolat in the morning.
The garden outside was a superb chill-out space. Protected from the wind we could enjoy sunny afternoons (a bit chilly weather otherwise when we were there).
It is also very close to the castle for a nice walk and climb in the tower to see Chateaubriant from above.
Very basic Hotel, on the edge of the town with the smallest bathroom I've seen for quite some time. The restaurant was not available, no taxis to get into the Town only a McDonalds close by. Checked on Google maps and found a Chinese buffet just over the road (not visible from the hotel). The staff never mentioned it until I asked, a good meal at a very reasonable price. Basic cost so not all bad.
The stay was below my expectation. Room was comfortable, correct size, reasonable price. Breakfast was very delicious, even with additional cost, I would recommended!! The staff were also helpful. There is a nice restaurant beside the hotel and terrace in front of the hotel. Last but not least, the facade itself is beautiful, feels like arriving in another Chateau in Chateaubriant.
After a long work day I enjoyed having dinner every night at the hotel’s restaurant. The menu changes every night with three choices for a starter, main, and desert. Chef Frederic prepares wonderful salads, pasta, and duck/beef/chicken based creations, all for a set price of 25 Euro, with wine, beer, or bottled water available.
The gentleman on reception was so friendly and welcoming? we had a couple of requests which he was more than happy to help with. We left in a bit of a rush but wanted him to know how much we appreciated all of his help and support. I would recommend this hotel.
Nice room in a quiet, suburban private house that overlooks the nearby lake. On the outskirts of Chateaubriant, which is a pleasant walk away. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful, Great value for an overnight stay.
Very convenient location for exploring Chateaubriant by foot. Very clean, tidy and smart apartment. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchenette ergonomic which came with bread and jam supplied by the owner.
The hotel was in a good location. The rooms were good with good facilities. The manager Pascal could not have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good value.
I was late due to work related issues and asked to have a plate in my room for a late dinner and the staff was very cooperative. They also gave me a keycode for late access at the hotel.
