The location was okay - about a 20 minute walk from the train station and not far to the citadel and to restaurants. Room was okay as far as cleanliness.

The location on the river and within the valley was exceptional, peaceful and gorgeous. The room/bed/bathroom were perfect and the hotel itself was cozy and luxurious. The restaurant was beautiful and the food the best we had in Corte!

I know that some guests rate this as a basic hotel but I was satisfied! View of a garden and a pool (that was empty every time I went to take a swim) was great and you wouldn’t find a place for the money I paid (almost the same price as a shared room in a hostel in Nice). Small kitchen with fridge allows you to keep your cold drinks or whatever. The location is perfectly close to a train station and yet not that far from the centre (ca 10 minute walk). The view of the surrounding mountains from the window. Yes, the shower was tiny, but nothing I would complain about, a small air-fan for the hot nights. Recommend the stay!

Corte is a good place to do some hiking as the mountains and hills are stunning. We found the people in Corte were not as friendly as other places in Corsica we visited- which does make a differnce!
Personally I would skip Corte and stay longer somewhere else (Porto or Calvi were exceptional)

A really scenic town in a dramatic mountain setting.
A really scenic town in a dramatic mountain setting. Restonica Gorges are within a short distance and highly recommended for the 45 minute drive up and then 45 minute drive back down again as it has amazing scenery. The train station is a great point to get the scenic mountain railway to Vizzavona from - but be aware that the trains are pretty infrequent and during October there are absolutely no facilities at Vizzavona open - no toilets, drinks or snacks available. And you might have an hour and a half wait there for the return train !!

We passed through twice in our travels. The first time we saw the fortress and museum which helped a lot in understanding the country and culture. The second time we used it as a sight to see other places in the area, like the Vallee Restonica.

The city is a center for hiking that has a lot of energy provided by the five thousand university students. You can get here by the train from Bastia, Calvi or Ajaccio. We ate at the Trattoria both nights we were there. The table for two at the very back is best, both of you get a cushioned bench and the servers don’t need to get by you.

A rather forbidding looking but characterful old town, right in the centre of Corsica. Good for access to scenic mountains.
We took a 40 min. train trip through the mountains to Vivazzone and back.
A good meal at A Casa de l'Orsu.

The best thing for me was the walk from Corte along the Tavignano gorge. Stunning scenery. But I had difficulty findng the start.
A detailed map at the apartment would have helped.
There were so many eating places to choose from. I only ate out once and it was disappointing.
Although I called the host who was helpful, I couldn't get wi fi.
Corte is a really relaxed town, full of character and interest.
As an artist I loved the Contemporary Art museum , esp its location. And was intrigued to see the plaques showing Escher's drawings there.
Not sure why this hotel doesn’t get higher scores. It’s nothing fancy but does all the basics well : clean, comfortable, with pleasant staff. The pool is nice, and the garden area provides a calm, relaxing area to unwind. The rooms do not have air-con but it’s easy to create air flow through the rooms by opening the external doors and windows. Despite being a fussy, light sleeper, I slept well. Breakfast is basic, but reflects the price.
It was perfect staying there for exploring the area of Corte. The rooms are a bit basic, but clean and very well maintained, and having a balcony. Breakfast was typical french. And don‘t miss going to „la pasta“ for dinner, next to hotel‘s door and really good food.
Also to mention is the own garage to keep the motorbike. Altogether a pleasant stay, really worth of money and a bit off the beaten track.
We loved our stay at l’Albadu! Brilliant ambiance, friendly people, family-style dinners, horses on site, breathtaking views. Close to Corte (30 minute walk), but they picked us up from the train station when we arrived because we didn’t have a car, which was very kind. Great location for accessing hiking routes. They also arranged a spectacular three hour horse ride for me in the mountains.
Pascal was a wonderful host. The unit has everything you need but is small. The outdoor seating makes a big difference. It is in a residential area, but close to the train station where there is a market and a wonderful bakery. Corte is a beautiful town and while there are not any great views from the units, they surround you everywhere else.
The apartment is very nice - spacious, clean, it has bed linen, towels, toilet paper and free wifi (which is very rare in Corsica to have all of these!!). Also the owner left 2 bottles of water in the fridge and some cookies for us for free! The location is also great. Another plus is the parking space.
Classic Corsican hotel steeped in history. Marble stairs lead to old style doors. Wide plank floors, high ceilings and classic furnishings. Breakfast was delightful with some homemade offerings. Owner very helpful. Easy walk to Corte downtown.
The location on the river and within the valley was exceptional, peaceful and gorgeous. The room/bed/bathroom were perfect and the hotel itself was cozy and luxurious. The restaurant was beautiful and the food the best we had in Corte!
Friendly young couple runs a cosy peaceful place. Great breakfast, local products, not far from Restonica and Tavignano by car. To avoid drink and drive it takes 30 min to walk to the city of Corte, which we thought was ok.
Nothing. This property was beyond disappointing. Casa di a Restonica are quick to say they’re not a hotel but they are quick to charge like a hotel but won’t provide satisfactory customer service, facilities and attitude.
Peaceful, lovely views.
Delicious dinner prepared during our stay, couldn't have asked for more - great company.
Host very kindly collected us from Corte and gave us a lift to the station the next day.
Very nice surroundings with beautiful nature. Hotel is at the perfect location for exploring the island. It is tastefully decorated, clean, great pool for the relaxing time during the day.
The location is one of the best in Corte. Victoria at reception desk was wonderful and recommended restaurants for dinner, she even made the reservations. both restaurants were awesome!
Nice appartment in the centre of Corte, well fitted for 4 people. The host was nice, accommodating our needs. Well supplied with amenities (dishwasher, washing machine, etc.)
Small family run hotel, everyone friendly and very helpful. Good location, easy walk into the town with plenty of cafes and restaurants. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking.
for a one night stand the hotel is decent, the beds are OK, the location is not far from center, however it is on the hill - so requires some harder walk.
