The hotel was outstanding in almost everything, only problem was the smell of cigarettes, but since it is in France I guess I have to accept that as normal

Auberge des Remparts, hotel in Péronne

Auberge des Remparts is located in Péronne, 2297 feet from Museum of the Great War, and features a terrace, a shared lounge and a bar.

Good value for a quick stopover en route to Calais. It would be even better value for families as the rooms sleep 4. It's, as its name suggests, a hostel than a hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Simple but adequate breakfast. Nice and clean.

When you have visited the Museum of WWI, you think that Péronne has nothing more to offer, but you're wrong. There is a hotel well worth a stop! We had a very pleasant stay at this tiny boutique hotel, with just two room. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and shown our nice room, after parking our car in the locked yard. We slept well in our beds, but the biggest treat waited us in the morning, with a fantastic breakfast; great coffee, cheese, ham, bread and concluded with sweats and croissants. The best hotel to stop in between long days on the road. We'll be back.

Camping Du Port De Plaisance, hotel in Péronne

Located in the heart of Picardie and along the Somme river, Camping Du Port De Plaisance features an outdoor swimming pool. It offers bungalow accommodations, laundry facilities and an onsite shop.

We stayed in a lodge on the campsite. The campsite toilets, showers etc were great - clean and modern. The swimming pool was very clean. The bedding in the lodge was “disposable” and so it was not comfortable. There was a very small playground which the kids enjoyed. There was a nice little food van in the evenings and we could order fresh bread daily. We would definitely go back, but probably take our own tent and camp.

The origins of the château-fortress of Péronne go back to the 7th Century AD. In medieval times it was a Royal Residence for the Ancien Régime. The complex, that now integrates a 21st C. wing, houses a WW I museum with focus on the non military aspects of that war and the conséquences for the region. Remarkable townhall and a wealth of slow travel and biking options in the vicinity.

We mostly picked Peronne as it was a well located stop for our tour - and it had a museum. I'm so glad I did as the museum was one of the best parts of the trip (although really sobering and sad).

Peronne is a lovely town and an ideal base for exploring the 1916 Battle of the Somme Battlefield and the 1918 battles that brought the first World War to a close following the breach of the Hindenburg Line in 1918. There are good exaples of Art Deco architecture and many more examples in nearby St Quentin. Amiens is just a 40 minute drive.

Péronne made for a great base to visit the southern parts of the First World War Somme battlefields. The Historial museum in the town was excellent (especially the Otto Dix gallery), and there were plenty of places to eat and drink in the town. The town centre was quite picturesque.

This property is in a quiet location not far from the centre of Peronne and very well positioned for exploring the memorial sites of the The Battle of the Somme. Unfortunately, because of Covid restrictions we were not offered the breakfast which was a real shame as so many previous reviews raved about how delicious it was!

Excellent location to the town.Enclosed parking next to the hotel. Well designed & decorated bedroom with perfect 'en suite. The host was delightful who took time to explain the history of the town & places to see & eat--- he did a great job in 'holding the fort' whilst his wife & daughter were away. Highly recommended.

Ideal stop-over for one night. Lots of small, affordable restaurants very close to the hotel. After dinner, take a stroll around the old fortifications of this cute northern French town. Although we had a room to the street, we could sleep with open windows. Room was functional with everything necessary for one night.

The room was spacious for a family of four. They had separate beds for every child not normally the case in other hotels. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of food. The location was great, a short walk to the museum which we visited the following morning. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.

The selection for breakfast was very good. The shower water was hot. The hotel is quiet. My room was comfortable. The location is ideal, close to bars and restaurants. I have stayed at this hotel 7 or 8 times and the standard has always been consistent. It is not luxurious but is good value for money.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, lovely choice and the table was laid beautifully. We were in Le Shabby. Terribly comfortable memory foam beds, stylish and very impressive attention to details. We ate dinner at an excellent bistrol/restaurant that is managed by the owners of the hotel.
