Room had a balcony and the bathroom looked brand new. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When I was there in October, the price was a real deal. Good breakfast buffet. Excellent location right at the ferry stop and a short walk to national park entrance.

Perfectly located within easy walk to the park. Basic rooms with a bed, bath, and shower. No kitchen or living space. Kiko is very friendly. I would recommend taking advantage of his offer for dinner for guests - the most value for money for dinner we found. Salad, grilled meat (calamari, fish, pork, or steak), veggies and fries. Enough food we all left sated.

Perfect little oasis on our bike trip through Mljet. The owners were kind and helpful and the communication was easy. Loved our stay in this gorgeous cove. The view was amazing!!!

Beautiful quiet and small town on a fairly small island. The town had a few activities to do from bikes to SUP to kayaking and of course hiking through the very beautiful Mljet National Park. Beaches are of course rocky like in most of Dalmatia. The town will take no time to walk through, and getting around the rest of the island isn't easy unless by car (taxi or your own) -- but for the NP that's no issue as it's reachable within 15 minutes and doesn't allow cars for the most part.AlejandroSpain - 10Scored 10

Polače is lovely small village just in the heart of Mljet National Park. We enjoyed local bakery, dinner at Konoba Gunduliste and the nature all around. It is great starting point to exploring NP but also just for relaxing beach day. If you like quiet and peace places for your holiday, Polače is definitely good choice for you :).Nicole - 6.0Scored 6.0

Quiet place, inside the National Park and close to the Lakes, which is great! The beach is nothing special with a lot of sea urchins in the water. Expensive restaurants serving mostly wealthy people from yachts.

From Polače you can access the national park of Mljet easily...
From Polače you can access the national park of Mljet easily - we hired bikes and it was a short (but hilly) ride to the entrance of the park and then we cycled around the lake and swam etc. There are a handful of restaurants in Polače - some of them are pretty expensive but there were a couple that were more reasonable.LaurenUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Polace is quite lonely during September, when we visited, but it is a very good location for going to the NP Mljet, because you can take the free bus (included in the NP ticket) to center of National Park. There are some nice roman ruins, but it is not must-see sight. There are few expensive restaurants serving mostly see food, mini market, bakery. Polace is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Mljet. You can hire bikes, e-bikes, kayaks etc from right outside the apartment. There is a local supermarket. €15 in a taxi to Pomena for the ferry.
