Ardboyne Hotel, hotel in Navan

The warm and comfortable atmosphere, coupled with our extensive gardens, make this hotel an ideal haven to unwind in after an eventful day.

The Ardboyne was our first stop in Ireland and it definitely set the tone for our whole trip. The facilities were luxurious and the pub/restaurant was reasonably priced and very appetizing. The staff was very helpful from me forgetting my toothbrush to answering my myriad of questions. I couldn't ask for a better welcome to Ireland. Thanks.

It is located next door to a beautiful little nursery. Very quiet. I did a drive to a lovely park. About 10 minutes away where you could walk for hours. It was a great location to see both trim castle and Bru na Boone

Room was extremely dark, even with lights on. Central light in room not working. Not great for getting ready to leave for a sons wedding in another location. Son who was the groom was in room next door and lighting very poor also. Pulled back all curtains but then others outside could see in.

So much to do in the area.

So much to do in the area. I loved the scenic drives and historic buildings. Shame you have to book online for some things. Not everyone has this facility. Also some places have stopped taking cash and a lot of people still want to pay cash for things.

The town is quite small and compact and has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. When we were there it was packed with young kids and youths (late afternoon/early evening). Not sure if this is a regular thing. You can get a direct bus from Dublin

Well, it's my home town, so what can I say?

Well, it's my home town, so what can I say? I wish I'd never left it. The amenities and general have greatly improved over the last 55 years, but then the town has also got bigger - from 5,000 population to over 30,000.

Unfortunately we only had one night's stay. Great shopping Centre with lots of shops to browse around. Plenty places to eat out. Plenty Bars and we had dancing in the Bar of the Ardboyne Hotel which was very close to The Yellow House B&B where we stayed. Really enjoyed our night out in Navan and it was great to get around walking all the time we were there and not have to get Taxi's.

Location includes beautiful areas for a relaxing walk, including a small garden-like area with follies. Zoe was responsive to inquiries with useful information to help us plan. Be sure to start your day off right with a walk to the tearoom for breakfast. If you can, visit the ruins of Bective Abbey just a few miles away. If you want good food and a pint in downtown Navan, try The Central. Navan is not so close to Brú na Bóinne as Drogheda, but the drive from Navan is scenic and really doesn't take very long, so if you have motor...

The Groom's Cottage is a special place, an outbuilding on a historic Irish estate that goes back at least to the 17th century, amid a grove of tall trees in the Meath countryside. Hosts were friendly and provided everything we needed, but entirely hands-off. We would have enjoyed staying more than two nights. Location is very central to see the ancient and historic sites of the Boyne Valley. Pubs and restaurants are around 10-15 minutes away in Navan or Johnstown.

Location within short drive to Navan, stunning rural location, managed a short walk around the grounds with our younger son before departing. We live in a rural location so might not appreciate the location as much as urban visitors, however they have done an amazing job developing the apartments and estate. We were attending a Motor Sport Ireland event at a track in Athboy and Bective was perfect.

Lovely modern, cozy, spacious guesthouse very close to navan. Staff were very helpful and kindly gave us a lift into town. Got a lovely breakfast with great choice to suit all needs *including gluten free bread which many places do not offer. Coffee was also beautiful and not just filter coffee. I would highly recommend staying at balreask and would come back here again.

Good location with an excellent hotel just a few minutes walk away for dinner. It's a drive into town. Host had prepared room for the heatwave (but a fan would have been useful) . Altered flight check in could have seen us miss breakfast but host arranged for us to have a cooked breakfast earlier than scheduled - we REALLY appreciated that. Good secure car parking too.

Athlumney is a real gem and definitely the place to stay in Navan. Pat & Pauline were very welcoming and great hosts. Our room was perfect, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was top notch with a lovely selection of continental or an iIrish cooked breakfast Highly recommend Athlumney, you won't be disappointed!

Great location near Navan quiet and close enough to shop for groceries, gas or anything else we wanted. The cottage was very comfortable and suited our family of four perfectly! Our teenage kids loved the house and we are looking forward to visit again in the future. Next time I will schedule a Spa treatment!

Breakfast was wonderful, the staff were very kind and helpful, and we loved our stay in Navan. The food at the pub was also excellent and the place was charming and just lovely. It was decorated for Samhain/Halloween and that was a lot of fun too.
