A truly lovely city without the chaos of Jaipur or Delhi. It felt like an oasis. The city centre is very exciting - and attractive. The sunset boat ride is a must, also the puppet show at the museum, and the folk dancing at the city palace.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We got upgraded to a suite which was excellent and had a great view of Lake Palace. They have good carts outside the hotel to take you to the main gate of the old town or city palace. Overall the stay was fabulous! They have heritage walk in the hotel at 5 pm, which we really wanted to join but didn’t have the time too. And did I mention the view from the hotel and our room - incredible!!

The restaurant food was tasty, portions big and views over the lake very nice. We also arranged a city tour with their staff member Gotu who took us around various Udaipur attractions and hidden gems in an autorickshaw.

The staff were friendly and super helpful, even helping me carry my luggage down the street to where I could catch a taxi. The onsite restaurant is fine, and the art store in the building has lots of beautiful things for very fair, hassle free prices. The location is perfect, too - it's steps from the lake at Gangaur Ghat and an easy walk to many of Udaipur's attractions.

The room was huge, the bed supremely comfortable, the linen just right. The whole hotel is decorated with a fine eye. Let me tell you, in the heat of Rajasthan, the fact that there was a swimming pool meant that we could go around on foot exploring the local area and then we could cool off in the pool. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly. It was a little oasis in the heart of Udaipur.

We got an upgrade and the bathroom was very big and had 2 sinks, a big shower and a bathtub. The reception was open 24/24 and ready to meet your requests. The breakfast was delicious and the waiters very polite. The restaurant on the terrace has a magnificent view of Udaipur and the food served is tasty and cheap. Laundry service was provided. The manager helped us in booking a train ticket to Jaipur.
