The place was next to the mountains which is beautiful. It was relatively easy to access 2 train stations by bus. The one drawback is it is far from Tokyo proper and downtown. Other than that I would definitely recommend staying here.

Hachioji is a surprisingly large urban city with several department stores within the vicinity of the JR Station. There are also several streets lined with stores & bars/restaurants.
Getting out of the city is definitely worthwhile; twenty minutes will get you to Takao-san which is a gorgeous mountain (only mildly challenging to summit if you skip the cable car & take certain trails through the woods) filled with nature & culture. Tama DobutsuKoen is one of the best zoos in Japan for space & diversity, again it is just a short journey from the city.

I consider it to be a good choice.
I consider it to be a good choice. Although far from Shinjuku, Hachioji offers tranquility, many choices for dining, shopping and mingling with the locals. Just a few miles away, you may find yourself strolling in Takiyama Forest and Takiyama Castle, Komiya Park, or even visiting Tama Zoological Park.
Although the room is a bit small for 2 persons, but it is clean and fhe room facilities are excellent. The hotel provides you with microwave in the room and it is indeed very useful. Convenience store like family mart and seven-11 are close to the hotel. Metro line station also very close, about 10 minutes walking. Will definitely be back once visit Tokyo again someday. Thanks
It was in Hachioji. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They received and delivered a package for us to our room. They ordered taxis and pizza delivery for us and we could purchase beer through them. The room on the 6th floor was quiet even though we overlooked the train tracks. We could even open the window a little.
Nice and clean hotel, kind staff. The decor was a nit outdated, but that was OK for us. Great restaurants on the top floor with a view of Hachioji which is great at night. Literally next to the train station which was perfect for our needs as we stayed there to hile Mount Takao (6 min train ride away).
A stylish boutique hotel located about a five minute walk from the JR Hachioji station. Nice amenities including free cake, extra-small cups of Haagen-Das ice cream, and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks in the lobby. The room was compact but laid out very well with an excellent Wi-Fi connection.
The inn was of traditional Japanese style. We slept on futon beds on top of tatami mats. It was a wonderful way to start off our trip in Japan. It’s an experience I would highly recommend.
The hotel is located close to both JR and Keio Hachioji stations. The staff is polite and nice as most people working in the Japanese hospitality industry.
